Another Day Comes To A Close

Another day came to a close. It was one of those summer evenings that stories are written about. The moon created undescribable beauty in the small town. One just could not help grabbing a camera.

Fortunately my uncle seems to always have his camera within arms reach. I am thankful that he captured the moon on this particular evening.

Words are difficult to come by when one sees pictures like these.

It seems to me that each 24 hour time period comes and goes at record speed. The older I get, the more I find it to be true. No wonder my grandma stated that so many times. I did not know what she meant back then. It seemed like I was waiting for many things and for me time seemed to go slow. Now, I'm older and a grandma myself, and I know what she meant.

I close with this quote I found yesterday in a book I was reading, and agreed that I wanted it to be my prayer to;

"My life shall touch a dozen lives

before this day is done,

Leave countless marks for good or

ill ere sets the evening sun.

This is the wish I always wish, the

prayer I always pray:

Lord, may my life help other lives

it touches by the way."

Very nice way for me to end my day too. I am tired and it is very late. I have done three posts tonight since I am going to be busy tomorrow.

What beautiful moonshots...and thought-provoking comments to go with them. It is a reminder to me to make the most of today...we know not what tomorrow may bring.

Hi Judy, wonderful photos. One of the best parts of getting older is the appreciation you feel for everything.

My husband is always taking pictures also and has a camera around his neck constantly. He comes from a family of photographers....we have thousands of pictures!!

I think a lot about life and how fast it goes.

These moon pictures are something I would've captured too.

Loved the prayer at the end. You are touching lives. Walk on, my friend.

Love,

Tiffany
