My Spirea bushes are in full bloom. I have a new fascination with my mini Petunias. Their vibrant pink color and vine type nature, make them a perfect addition to my hanging basket by the back door. And, as you might remember, I like bringing the outdoors in so that I can enjoy them inside also. This small canning jar container came from Walmart's Better Homes and Gardens selection. It makes me happy when washing dishes at my sink.
Saturday noon I needed to make lunch and was not sure what to make. I used this simple, delicious recipe and thought I would share it with you, just in case you ever needed the same. I unrolled the French Bread loaf onto parchment paper. Added a thin layer of Ranch dressing over the dough. Placed 1/4 pound of sliced oven roasted turkey breast as the next layer, then added 1 cup of shredded Cheddar cheese. I rolled it up tightly from the short side, pinched the seam, and put the roll seam side down on a sprayed cookie sheet. I brushed the top with melted butter and sprinkled it lightly with Cavender's All Purpose Greek Seasoning. I baked it at 375 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
This recipe yields 4 or 5 servings when sliced.
If you prefer deli ham, that works just as well.
It makes a really good sandwich and can be served with whatever you prefer.
The golden brown baked loaf smells so good when it comes out of the oven.
This is how it was served at our home on Saturday, with a few of my husband's favorite foods. He said it was not easy to stop with two slices of this sandwich.
Thanks for stopping by today. And just in case you ever need a new sandwich recipe, you might want to try this one.
I appreciate you all so very much!
A fun giveaway is coming up soon at this blogspot:)

This looks wonderful...thanks for sharing. Are those pink hard boiled eggs on the plate?
Hello! I would appreciate to have the sandwich recipe, It's a must try... One question: How do you gt that red colour to eggs?
O yum...I can almost taste it! Thanks for sharing...I plan to try it out.
No spirea blooming over here as yet...we are a little late this year. The lilacs are just beginning to bloom. Enjoy your spring blooms...outside and at your sink!
You have assembled a most beautiful floral arrangement. I can see why it makes you happy. I bought some of the mini petunias yesterday and was thinking how cute they are. For some reason I never think to use petunias as cut flowers. After seeing your arrangement, I can see I need to change my thinking and try them in the house.
Your sandwich idea looks yummy. Thanks for sharing that idea too. I couldn't help but noticing that you even have a hard boiled egg to match your flowers :).
I absolutely love the way your mind works. You needed something for lunch, and "voila!", you had these distinct ingredients that got cobbled into a gourmet meal. I mean, who has "Cavender's All Purpose Greek Seasoning" on hand?
I totally get the Cheez-Its accompaniments though :)
Dear Friends,
Yes the hard boiled eggs are pink. That is what we do in this little part of the world. We put hard boiled eggs in with pickled beets and soak them. We call them red beat eggs and they happen to be one of my husband's favorites. He cuts them in half, adds a bit of vinegar to the top of each one and a bit of salt and pepper. Yes Friends, that is the scoop on the pink eggs:)
Ooooo... that sandwich sounds totally yummy... and the simplicity makes this a recipe to remember!
Sounds yummy...I have to give that a try! I am having a give away, too....be sure and drop by!
Judy, I LOVE those red eggs - will try them this weekend - I happen to have a jar of Penn Dutch pickled beets and will remove the beets and "pickle" the hard boiled eggs... how long do you leave them in for? And the idea of vinegar on them makes my mouth water - what a wonderful idea!!! (ps - love the flowers - makes the dishwashing pleasant I'm sure - as much as dishwashing can be pleasant - I use it as a Zen exercise)
