Happy 40th Birthday!

We met her in a small beachside restaurant in south Florida years ago. Through an amazing set of circumstances she now lives in our area of the country. Her and her daughter moved here. Sometimes it feels like they have always been here. They have many friends, and they bless many with their warm, caring personalities. Recently our dear friend reached her "40th" birthday, and my sister hosted a small celebration party for our friend and her daughter.

My sister's beautiful tablescape, with a soft pink vintage tablecloth that she purchased at a lovely gift shop while on vacation. Her pink and white hydrangaes complete the look of the table perfectly.

The favors were chocolate chip banana muffins in pink decorated boxes.

Here is our dear friend and her adorable daughter. Notice that even the birthday cake candles were pink. Yes, we did sing "Happy Birthday" to her.

One of the gifts that she received was a gorgeous custom made apron from my sister-in-law. Doesn't she look so pretty in it? If you would happen to want to order an apron like it, or your choice of many others, you can email her at...mailto:at...apronsbyjuliaann@gmail.com. She will then send you the Picasa Album of her aprons. I love visiting this site just to see her amazing creations, all done with attention to detail. Celebrating special milestone birthdays is a fun way to help our friends face the aging process(although I must admit...forty seems so young to me). This dear lady and her daughter have certainly added a new dimension to all of our lives, and we are thankful that our paths have crossed. Thanks also to my youngest sister for yet another time of opening her heart and home, to each of us.

Happy 40th to your dear friend. She and her daughter both have beautiful smiles. I love the apron and will check out that site. I have a feeling this woman and her daughter are from south of the border, I could be wrong, but I am so proud you made her feel welcome and they have friends around her.Blessings
