It is Monday...a cool, overcast and wet Monday. I would like to be here in this cabin I saw pictured recently in a Southern Lady Magazine from 2007. The pictures of this cabin depict a cozy, warm, inviting feeling that fits my mood perfectly today.
How about you? What causes you to think cozy, warm, inviting feelings in the cool, wet, fall weather? Candles help create this for me too...apple, cinnamon spice, or sugar cookie candles that make my entire living area smell so good.
Warm, fresh from the oven, Pear Cobbler with streusel topping would make the day perfect for me. Oh, I forgot...add a dip of vanilla ice cream and unlimited cups of rich decaf coffee:)
Either one of these beautifully decorated bedrooms would create the best rustic lodging...really, I would take either one. Add to this few good books and lots of warm blankets.
I'd like to sit down to my already prepared dinner on this screened in porch, with the added warm afghans readily available, after an invigorating walk in the woods.
And then to have the privilege of curling up in front of this massive stone fireplace while watching the crackling fire. and sharing conversation with good friends. Today, this is what I pictured in my mind while completing all the work that I had waiting for me. Just thought you may be inspired with these pictures of this lovely, secluded getaway, and it might add to the anticipation of all this season holds for each of us.
In reality, I am now going to wash the dinner dishes. Here's hoping your dishes are already done.
