Needed...a few simple gifts to store in my freezer for future, and sometimes unexpected gifts.
Had lemons that needed to be used...went online to find "best lemon bread" recipe...found one that
looked quite delicious on Allrecipes.com
Baked these eight little loaves.
The claim of the recipe's originator was correct...they were so good!

A while ago I had purchased this pretty kitchen hand towel, and I knew it would create one of my
needed gifts. Put two little loaves in a small ziplock bag. Fold the hand towel in thirds, lengthwise
and wrap up. Tie with a coordinating ribbon and put into freezer for a time when needed. Pull out
of freezer an hour or two before giving.
I have an apple hand towel that I would make a good "apple bread" recipe gift.

Or...if you have a new microfiber dishcloth on hand, you can repeat the process using one of the
loaves, and a sheer ribbon. I am thankful for new hand towels and dishcloths. I am sure you would
agree with me that they can get dinghy looking quickly. I especially think of this when my mother
is helping me with the dishes:)

Many stores now have a collection of coffee hand towels, dishcloths and potholders. This one is
from KMart. I put a bag of coffee in this towel and wrapped it up for the freezer to be used as
another quick gift idea. I make a gift tag to go with this that says "coffee and friends are the
perfect blend".
Just in case you are looking for a quick and inexpensive gift idea, this may work for you.

I've never had lemon bread but it sounds good! Another great idea is to buy a big pot holder hand mitten and put a wooden spoon and muffins down in it or slide a small loaf of bread down in it!

Judy, you are just so thoughtful! AND creative!!!! I'm as pleased with your idea as I would be your gift, so I'm gonna consider it a gift from you and I thank you for it. What a good idea. I love that little loaf pan and think I might pick up one of those on my next shopping trip. Verrrrry handy!
I always look at the towels and don't really need any more. Now I can buy them for gifts! HAHA!
Have a good week!

Wonderful ideas, Judy!

I have the same mini loaf pan and often make and freeze little sweet and savory breads. The towels you purchased are very pretty!

As always...I love your neat ideas! I have the mini loaf pans as well...the perfect size for gift-giving. And I like that you have them totally packaged and ready to go in the freezer.

You always have the best ideas for thoughtful and pretty gift giving. Your lemon bread looks delicious and what a neat pan you baked it in. What a clever idea to put it in that pretty dish towel. I have a bread that I like to make for Christmas gifts. I am going to be on the lookout for some pretty towels to wrap it in. So much nicer than plain old plastic wrap.

What a pretty, practical method for wrapping, too. I can do this!!

Great idea to pull the gift completely together and freeze!

We used to have "booster" showers, (like booster shots), for our friend's milestone anniversaries, like their 10th or such. New tea towels, bath towels, lingerie and other typical bridal shower items were given as part of the fun. This gift would fit right into the program!
