Smokey Mountain Beauty

On this relaxing, beautiful afternoon, I thought I would share a few of the photos that my uncle captured on a recent trip to the Smokey Mountains. I wish I could show them all to you, but I chose a few that I know you would be able to appreciate with me. Beauty that man, no matter how much effort he would put into it, could not create. Grab a cup of coffee and take some time to see the scenery. Thank you dear uncle.

"Dear Lord,
Help me to live this day quietly, easily;
To lean upon Thy great strength trustfully, restfully;
To wait for the unfolding of Thy will patiently, serenely;
To meet others peacefully, joyously;
To face tomorrow confidently, courageously."
a simple prayer for my day, in the "The Speaker's Quote Book" by Roy B. Zuck

I want to go there!

Isn't it amazing how nature speaks to us; to the deepest parts of us? Fall scenes & river scenes are my favorites. They speak of something wholesome, something of great value.

Thank you for sharing such amazing beauty.

Oh, so beautiful! There's always another place or two to add to my list of places to visit one day.

And thanks for including the quote...we can face tomorrow with confidence because we know He will be faithful.

Your uncle took such beautiful photographs! He even got so close to the black bears -- a little scary. We were warned so often in Yellowstone National Park to stay far away from the bears as they are very fast and you can't outrun them.

I hope you and your family have a very Happy Thanksgiving!
