Two Little Words...

"Thank You"...two little words, but filled with impact. We stamped these words onto plain white index cards, cut down to size, punched with a hole...

...made two recipes of our favorite "peanut crunch"(recipe in a past post), broke it into pieces, bagged in clear cellophane bags...

...tied with ribbon and completed with the tag.

...put the little packages into a decorated basket. Ready for the hospital. Our tiny token of gratitude to the many doctors, nurses and assistants that helped with the twin's delivery.

Sometimes the daily routines of life can be brightened by a small word or token of appreciation. The daughter helping with this knows this to be true on a firsthand basis. In her world of nursing, she has experienced "thank you" and it always makes a difference. She told me of a company in the city where she lives, that bakes cookies and delivers them, at the request of clients, to their hospital, warm out of the oven as a token of thanks. Our version is not quite that exciting, but the "how", and the "what" you do to express gratitude in any area of life, is not as important as the fact that it is done. Which leads me to the thought on my heart this morning to all of you for all that you did for us during the birth of the twins...THANK YOU!

My daughter is also a nurse and she has shared some precious notes given to her by patients. How sweet of you. Enjoy those little people.

Judy,
Though we have never met, I feel this post exemplifies you perfectly. I can tell that you are a very kind lady who is always thinking of ways to be a blessing in the lives of others. I think your daughter's are taking after you in their thoughtfulness.
I couldn't believe the timing of this post this morning. I woke up today thinking about what I could do to show my appreciation to the CNAs and Hospice workers who were so good to my mom. You have just solved that for me. Thank you. This is a wonderful idea and I am going to Michael's today to look for a thank you stamp and clear bags.

We so often forget people who help us in many ways, often even going out of their way to help us. I worked in a bank and we always appreciated the goodies that customers woudl bring in to us on holidays or as a special thank you (except for this one lady whose cookies smelled like moth balls!).

A lovely idea from a lovely person!

Congratulations again!

blessings and hugs,

marcy

This is so very thoughtful, Judy, and I would not expect less form you and your family.

I always appreciated when families sent a thank you treat to the nurses when I was working as an RN. A box of candy, a plate of cookies, a basket of fruit --it always brightened our day especially when it came from a patient who went home in good health!

Hope your daughter and babies are doing well!

Judy this is so thoughtful! I bet the nurses just loved them. Your daughter is right. Nurses love things like this or even a simple thank you. They love smiles too. I treasure them. I bet it really made they're day. You have such a big heart ♥
