Guess who came to visit this evening?
My middle daughter and my granddaughter came for a few days. It is always so good to see them.
Since this evening was the time of my giveaway drawing, and since we seem to do things in a somewhat unorthodox way around here, I thought I would let her and her grandpa do the drawing, while her mother and I supervised.

She reached into the old crock(with some coaching of course), and pulled out the first paper.
The winner is ...Sonja. Congratulations Sonja!
Her blog is "bitsandpieces-sonja.blogspot.com/"
Whenever I have time to visit this lovely lady's blog, I find real encouragement, inspiration, a lady with a heart of gold, who mixes real life with her genuine love for God, and humor to create a very special blog.
One of her latest blog posts was titled..."What your hair says about you??" I smiled as I read what she wrote. With the giveaway drawing completed, they then proceeded on with some other important business of the evening...sharing a zucchini muffin with each other, until the World Series game began. They are both cheering for the Rangers.
Thanks to each one of you who visited me and for the kind comments you shared.
Truthfully, I wanted to send each of you a set of cards.

Congratulations to lucky winner, Sonya!!! She's in for a treat...they(your cards)even look prettier in person!
Congrats to Sonja....love her too! Have a good week-end!
oh wow!! I am so excited to win your beautiful cards! I don't typically win anything, and to win yours is such a treat!! I am thinking of this as my consolation prize for the Rangers losing last night. :(
Thank you so much Judy. I can't wait!! :)

I'm a Sonja fan too. Her wit & wisdom always tickles me; and I love her devotion to family & faith. Come to think of it, that's what I'd say about you too :)
I have missed looking at your blog while I have been away this past week. I missed your give away and am about to visit Sonja's blog now. Your gift is so thoughtful and I am sure the winner will have fun sending off cards to friends and family. I Love the photos of your grand daughter and her grandpa, she is very sweet!
