It was fairly early in the morning.  I picked up two granddaughters, and we drove
through the country, heading to Vera's flower gardens.  As we drove along, I pointed out sights that
captured my attention (smiling to myself as I did, because it reminded me
of what my grandma used to do when we drove). From the vast array of bright pink petunias
planted along the road...

...to the clever way to sell baskets of fresh, sweet, tomatoes, in a yard of an old barn...

... and the gorgeous black-eyed susans,  planted in front of a log cabin home.

Upon arriving at the flower farm, we saw a young helper outside the old barn, doing his
own work, while his mother helped arrange flowers right inside the door.  This picture
touches my heart for some reason.  It clearly reminds me of simpler time of life.

As does this picture, too.  As we were walking through the zinnia garden, we all stopped and
observed the unique mode of transportation, these women chose.

The cosmos garden provided various shades of pink loveliness.

Another form of transportation caught our attention, as we smelled the roses.  I could not
help but use the sepia setting on my camera for this picture.

We did this morning, and even with the dew on them, they smelled so good.

each flower is a masterpiece of subtle beauty, form, and scent."  ~Marion Garretty

Thanks to "Pic monkey", I love to try all kinds of different settings for the already gorgeous
flowers.  You might want to visit their site too.  It is lots of fun!

the light, and that makes them beautiful."    ~Jim Carrey

We hope you enjoyed sharing our visit with us.
Thanks for stopping here.

It is always such a treat for me to come here and see what it looks like in your part of the country, Judy. It looks so peaceful, pretty and I can almost smell the freshness to the air.
Your granddaughters are lucky to have you... such a patient and loving grandmother.
