Thanks to some paint, drop cloths from the Walmart store, we have been busy transforming
our garage. We (my girls and me) are hosting a baby shower brunch tomorrow, for our
youngest daughter and her husband.
The job is a bit difficult, but one, but I have been enjoying watching
my husband make the transformation from garage to party room.
The strings of lights are still on the ceiling from the first garage party we hosted five years
ago, and continue to be used for each dinner or party since that time. When the room
goes back to being a garage, we unplug them until the next time they are needed.
We are most thankful for family and friends who love us and don't care one bit if we host them
in our garage. Aren't we blessed?
Baby shower brunch theme tomorrow..."nautical", thanks to the theme of his newly created
nursery, back in the Midwestern US.
If you are into garage transformations, please stop back in a day or two. If not, thank you for
stopping by today for this exciting post:)

I think it's a wonderful way to use the space and adds a festive touch! Love the lights. :)
I'll be back! =)
And right about now you will be in the middle of all the fun! I'll be back to see your transformed garage.
I remember a couple of your garage parties. You sure do know how to transform the a space into a palace.
I'm anxious to see how you changed it this time.
Congratulations to your daughter and son-in-law! What a good idea to use the garage space this way! I'd love to see how it looked so I hope to be back this week....some days I am so tied form babysitting I fall asleep right after dinner...lol!
Dear Pat,
I understand that "falling asleep after babysitting" so well. Well, actually more than I understand many things:)
i will be back to see it all for sure...We used our garage for company for years and years at our old house. It held a pool table, had an old couch and a TV....MANY of a teenaged gathering was held there. Hope your thanksgiving was wonderful!
I remember you blogging about that garage party...can't believe it was five years ago! If only you could see inside our garage, you would be shocked! :) you are always so gifted at decorating and hosting I love to read about those times in your blog and I look forward to seeing photos of the shower.
