Good Morning Blogging Friends!

What if you had a cookbook in your kitchen that had been created and edited by this lovely group of women?   What if you found out that one of those women and her husband were in your home town for an evening?  What if you had never met that women in person, although you had been communicating via the blogging world for many years?  Well...that is exactly what happened to me last evening, and what a very special evening it was.

This is the newest cookbook they all produced and it is a masterpiece!

This is the dear lady and her husband that we were privileged to meet, to sit around the dinner table and enjoy interesting conversation.  Our worlds are so different, and yet, so similar.  Her and her husband are most gifted, and delightful to sit and talk to.

I felt like I knew this lady from visiting her blog for many years, but meeting in person was even better.  We never ran out of things to talk about.  Now when I cook from the "Celebrations" cookbook, it will mean more to me.

Interestingly, our husbands never ran out of things to talk about either, after their first meeting.
New and old friendships are a gift, and they add so much joy to our lives.
We are thankful for the new friends we were honored to meet last evening.

And, I am thankful for each of you friends who stop by this blog and visit.  I would love the privilege of meeting each one of you, and maybe someday that will happen, like it surprisingly did for us yesterday.

I am just smiling from ear to ear after reading about the two Judy's meeting in person. Through the blogging world I know you both as kind ladies with a love of family and gracious hospitality. How wonderful that you have met in person and I love that you shared this meeting with us today.
The photos are wonderful.

How delightful! When Judy posted that they they were next visiting PA and Anneliese and Lovella encouraged them to stay at Amish View, I got excited about prospects of getting Celebrations signed but I think I'm too late. She and Elmer are covering territory fast! Thanks for sharing your special time together via pictures.

I came her hoping I'd find something about this visit! I had no idea Judy was going to see you when she left. So nice of you to open your home in welcome!

How wonderful you had the chance to meet Judy and her husband! I knew they were headed to the east but wasn't sure of their itinerary. I regretted not being in NYC any longer if by chance they were passing through my former state. Someday I hope to meet them either here or in BC,CA.

And what a privilege it was...to meet you and your husband...to be invited into your home...and to be the recipient of your warm hospitality! Thank-you so much, Judy...from both of us. By the way...we had a wonderful breakfast this morning. :)

You did what someday I would love to do, meet a blogging friend in person.

What a gift!

What a wonderful evening you had. I have met several blogging friends here in Colorado, but your evening sounds even better. I love all things Amish/Mennonite and would have jumped at the chance to meet them. Thanks for sharing; going to try to find their blog on your sidebar-I've lost the link somehow.
Hugs, Noreen

How nice that you and Judy could meet and spend some time together. So very exciting!! I love you both, as you are two I have followed from the begining. I have learned much from each!

Maybe you both should visit California :-)

Hugs!

I just feel teary reading this. What a gift to be able to meet you several years ago. I was so thrilled to know Judy and Elmer would meet you and your husband. I can't wait to visit with her and hear all about it. I already heard from her...it was wonderful.

Judy, I had to come read your side of the meeting, too. How wonderful to have enjoyed such an evening with Judy and Elmer. They truly are salt of the earth kinds of folks.
