We offered to keep them on Saturday evening, so their parents could enjoy dinner out together.
Paid a visit to the local dollar store for a few entertainment supplies.
It worked.  The five of them took turns wearing the glasses and we laughed together every time.

We had our own spa treatments, with manicures included.

Oh the joys and laughter that a few simple dollar store purchases can create.

Humor, it adds so much to daily life.  Reminds me of a card that sits on my desk.  Makes me smile everytime I read it.

Hopefully, you will be given at least one hearty laugh this week!
In the midst of difficult, sometimes painful life circumstances, a bit of humor may help.

That is absolutely true! Laughter helps put everything in perspective and gives us ammunition against the doldrums! Your money, and time, were wisely spent! :D

I found your blog through a link from another blog, just a few days ago. I liked yours so much that I added yours to my blog roll in my sidebar. Just wanted to stop in to say hello.

I saw his picture on my sidebar and had to laugh... and also come over to read all about it =).
What a smart idea you had to visit the dollar store. Such a lot of fun and laughter you received for a few dollars. I think those glasses would be great stocking stuffers for people of all ages.

I'm smiling! And wondering what colour that might be...the one that makes the thighs look smaller. I think it's the colour for me!

In full agreement. The heartiest laughs lately are at the expense of the grands. They brighten any day. By the way - those pumpkin cookies are the Bomb!!! Made a 'test batch' over the weekend and it's on the employee breakfast menu for this week. Yummo! Thanks for sharing.

OH that time spent with grands never is a dissapointment. It might tire us grandma's out but we'll always smile.
I love your entertainment props. So funny.
