I don't have anything new or exciting to blog about today, but since you stopped by, I thought I would share a part of my Spring ritual with you.  Now, how exciting is that?:)  I look forward to taking out my glass pedestal bowl, filling it with water, floating my candles and fresh flowers (whatever is growing outside my back door at the time).  Tonight I floated some pansies and violas.  Their little faces seem to smile up at me every time I sit at my kitchen table.

One of the quirks of my personality is that I like to change my table centerpiece.  It makes me feel like I made a decorating change even though it is a minor change.  Surprisingly, the bags of little white floating candles from Michaels, burn for a while.  I keep a bag of them on hand throughout the Spring and Summer.

This evening I was outside doing some weeding.  I was again reminded of how much I like my white flowering tree at the corner of our house.  I am amazed at it's beauty, when only a few months ago, it was only brown barren branches.

Years ago, my husband bought me this cute bunny in a gift shop, during our visit down south.  She takes her place on the ledge of our kitchen, each Easter, overseeing all the activities of our family.

Driving home this evening on one of my regular routes, I was impressed at how quickly the grass had turned to it's vibrant green color, and the farmers had already been plowing the fields.

So despite the fact that my husband and I both have become the recipients of nasty colds, I find the above pictures reason to smile through it all.  I am headed to the kitchen for a hot cup of tea.  Maybe it will help.

Sorry to hear you have a cold Judy - feel better soon! Love your table centerpiece! I like to change ours at the cabin too. I forgot about floating candles - so once again you have given me a great idea!! :-)

Oh, Judy, I am sorry to hear that you and your hubby are under the weather. Hope it won't be long until you're feeling better.
This afternoon I was looking at my pansies and thinking how soon they will be gone. Your beautiful idea for a centerpiece seems the perfect way for me to enjoy them up close while I still can. They look so pretty in your bowl with the floating candles. You may have thought this was nothing exciting, but I am very inspired by your idea and will be looking through my cupboards for a suitable bowl so that I can "copy" it tomorrow. Hope you don't mind.
Also, your little bunny is so sweet and I enjoyed the special memories of your husband buying it for you.
Take care.

We LOVED your posting... and your beautiful idea to set out your floating table center piece to celebrate Spring!

Alas, our spring has been delayed, but soon we'll have pansies and violas springing up here too!

I love floating panties too! Such cute faces deserve such a venue!
Our lawn was white with snow yesterday, today it is a deep rich green under sunny skies. Spring is SO interesting with constant change.

The magnolia tree!!! Beautiful! I used to have one that bloomed before Easter every year and almost always died early from frost. "Glad" we've had more rain than frost for the sake of your tree! I, for one, have had ENOUGH of the rain...but it IS better than frost!

Lovely post Judy, the table centre piece looks very pretty and is that a Magnolia tree? I alsways look out for them as one of our twins is called Magnolia and the other Primrose, we always find primroses but not so often magnolias. Sorry to hear you have colds, we have just been away and I have had a cold for the whole week...such a pain!Hope you are recovering
