This week has been quite different for the two of us. My husband took a week off work. Our daughter was visiting her boyfriend and family in the Midwest. Our house was so quiet and purposely planned, our schedules were too. We spent rare together time in front of our fireplace, drinking coffee, talking, laughing and just being quiet. Those who know me well, know that I am a winter person who really relishes time in front of the fireplace.
We visited a lovely country inn for one night. This gas stove was in our room. What a special addition to a guest room, especially while it was snowing outside. Once again I treasured the moments we shared here.
In the old beautifully restored barn that served as a lodge at the Inn, was yet another fireplace that we were privileged to sit in front of. Time...to enjoy, time...to share and time...to relax. How rare this week has proven to be, and yet how thrilled I was for this opportunity.
