These past few days, I've watched the most amazing cloud display from my backyard.

I stood mesmerized by the full moon that graced the night sky.

I got to see the newly created fire pit that our daughter and her family built, to share in
family and neighborhood night visits.

Including a painted wooden sign and pot of planted flowers.  I can't wait to sit by this fire,
with a cup of coffee and my grandchildren.

I served a dinner on my porch, most likely the last one I will serve on this porch, before our move.

I stood outside what had been my dear Mother's beloved screened in porch, and thought to myself,
that last summer, she had no idea that would be her last earthly summer to enjoy that beautiful
porch.

I spent time with my far away grandchildren for a few hours, when we drove the miles
to visit them.

I relished the moments with my daughter and this special little guy, who is the youngest
member of our family.

I tried not to think about how rare our visits are, and instead just took in every one
of his happy smiles.

I worked so hard at trying to capture a picture of the three siblings, and gave up when I saw
it was too difficult of an endeavor:)

And, I helped build some forts for two eager adventure seekers.

All of this, while I continued packing boxes, making decisions, and keeping in mind, my time
schedule.

So, as you can see, blogging is on the back burner lately for me.  Not that I don't think about it,
and my friends here.  I do.  I miss you all.  Thanks for stopping back to visit, and for catching
up with me.

I close with something I read recently on "Time";

"Take time to work-it is the price of success.
Take time to think-it is the source of power.
Take time to play-it is the secret of youth.
Take time to read-it is the foundation of knowledge.
Take time to worship-it is the highway of reverence.
Take time to help and enjoy friends-it is the source of happiness.
Take time to love-it is the one sacrament of life.
Take time to dream-it hitches the soul to the stars.
Take time to laugh-it is the music of the soul.
Take  time to pray-it helps bring Christ near."

Wishing you moments of time to do what you love to do, as you face a new and challenging
week ahead.

"the last one I will serve on this porch, before our move" ?? I must have missed that you were moving. Now that sounds exciting.

So nice to see your post this morning, Judy. It looks like time is a precious commodity for you right now, yet you appear to be balancing it all very well.
I had taken some time away from my blog and didn't realize that you were preparing to move. The photo of your mother's screened porch and your thoughts made me think even more about the passage of time and the importance of making the moments count.

Just a little something from Judy said...

Dear Friends,
We are moving, but only down the street, and it will happen sometime in the next few weeks. We built our home almost 16 years ago, for six people, including my Mother. Now, there are only 2 of us living here, and after packing up my Mother's things and my Mother-in-law's things for her move to the personal care section of the retirement community where she lives, we decided to downsize here. We bought a smaller, lovely home right close by, where the dear ones that live there, are moving to a retirement home. Life is full of changes, as I am sure you all experience daily in your lives.
Thanks for your care and interest in our move:).

I've been thinking about you a lot lately...and wondering how you were faring with preparing to move and everything else as well! It sounds like you are making the most of every moment...enjoying the last days in your old home, savouring family time and looking toward to the future. You have a great attitude! All the best!

I always enjoy reading yours posts and was surprised to hear about your move. Something we've been contemplating but no decision made yet. It's kind of a bittersweet time of life isn't it. I'm sure your new home will be a place of welcoming beauty.

I too was surprised just now to read of your move. I "hear" the changes you are going through . . . your mom's room is empty, your kids have moved out and grandkids are growing bigger. Life does not stand still and is constantly changing. I feel it too. In all of this it is so good to know that God is still the same - faithful and loving God who will never leave us.
Wishing you all the best in your move, Judy.
