Outside our front door this evening...

... and this is inside.  A cup of hot chocolate seems like the perfect way to pass the time, when the snow and ice have changed many plans.  I added a heart to my husband's cup:)  I do have a thing for hearts, and find myself adding them to whatever as it gets near February.

Eventually Spring will be here, but for now, could someone please explain to me, why I am still taking pictures of robins outside my back window?  I remember as a child, my mother would have us watching for the first robin each year.  She would tell us that, "when we see the first robin, Spring would be close behind."  Did the robins decide to stay all Winter now?  We sure do have lots of hefty robins at our bird feeders and it is only January.

The above...one of those fun, photographic moments:)  Helps me understand why they are always on this tree, especially after the newly fallen snow.

Wishing each of you a good weekend!  Hope you stay warm.

I would be doing a happy dance to see those robins. They are so fat and beautiful. We actually have them at this house too. At our last house, they would come to bathe in the waterfall of the pond. :) Stay warm there!

I am ready for spring! Your robins look different from ours. Ours are all brown with a brighter red breast. I like yours though...ours are around all year but we see them as soon as the cold weather arrives and they love to feed from my bird feeder. Have a great weekend!

Love that you added the heart to your hubby's cup! Those details are simple things that mean so much!

Seriously, I too have a thing for hearts, real and otherwise :-) I think a week at your home would be like a week lived inside a beautiful coffee table book! You make everything so beautiful and inviting.

I love the photo of the tree with the Robin still perched in it. I love little fat birds and that robin is..

Side Note; Be still and know that I am God, had been on my mind for the last six months!! I love to recite it to myself as needed :-)

Stay warm and safe, my friend!
Hugs!

You make a snowy night look like fun! I'm with you about hearts. Can't get enough of them, especially this time of year.

Again, you have the perfect gift. I am going to copy you and make some granola as gifts for Valentines Day.
Thank you!

With all those berries, why would they not stick around? Do robins eat berries? Berries and worms? Just may be a well balanced diet.
