I took four jelly jars and wound wire around the top of them and added a large hoop.
I had some clear glass flowers from a few years ago and wired a flower on one side and one of the leaves on the other.
My husband used little white hoop screws into the wood above the porch, to hang them.
I added a battery operated votive and my lanterns were complete.
It is almost too simple of an idea to share, but I am:)
The hanging lanterns add to the ambiance of the porch.
Remember the bird bath that my mother did not want anymore?
I had posted last year, that I added some tiny lights to it, a round piece of glass, and made an end table, adding a bit more to the ambiance.
A fun, quick, inexpensive way to add a touch of sparkle, wherever these lanterns are hung.
Last summer, I visited a friend's backyard, and she had made these lanterns and had them hanging in the trees. It was magical!
Thanks for stopping by!

I love your little lanterns too! I have seen people use many things, but this is a perfect size and has such a homey look. You sure did a wonderful job! Now you've got me eyin' my birdbaths! :D Guess the birds need them more than my house! :D

These lanterns are so pretty, what a clever idea! I can just imagine sitting on your porch on a warm evening with these lighting the way
I love your pink polka dot background and your votive idea too! I wish it would warm up enough here to start enjoying our evenings... Our summers are rather short but we sure love them when they arrive.
What a cute idea! They look so pretty all lit up. I also like your idea of using the battery operated candles inside. I think I need to try this.
You are one creative lady. Amazing - that's you. Simply amazingly creative. Thanks for sharing!!!!
How lovely... I love lights and cozy lamps for summer evening corners.
