Sunday Morning Sing A Long

I am sure my siblings will find a way to 'thank' me for this, but
upon stumbling on this rather funny photograph I felt it
was one to be shared...

The "Scarfed Wonder" (me, disguising unslightly orange juice cans in the process of curling my long locks) was leading her siblings in a Sunday Morning Sing-A-Long before church.

Isn't this how you remember your childhood or children's Sunday mornings going??

Me neither.

It is apparent, however, for at least as long as it takes a camera to click a picture in place, peace and harmony ruled the Sabbath morning at least once in my busy childhood home of five children. {I'm assuming our youngest brother Bob was busy composing the next hymn arrangment in another room.} I am also certain that you will be impressed by our modest and coordinating sleepwear that our mother sewed for us.

Here's to happy mornings, filled with harmony and song!
{Even if it is just a figment of our imaginations or something in our years of Christmas past!}

Great picture. I remember the orange juice cans trying to straighten out my curly hair. How did we ever sleep on those things?

I love the photo.... yes you all look very calm and enjoying one anothers company! I understand that many family rows take place on a Sunday before church!!! Probably partly due o the stress of getting everyone ready and the attack of the enemy on families to cause disunity before church!

I'm smiling! Great picture...and it does bring back memories. Though things were often a little rushed in my childhood home on Sunday mornings...I do remember listening to Children's Bible Hour on Sunday mornings (a radio program from Grand Rapids, Michigan).

And now the orange juice cans are replaced by Walmart Velcro Rollers!

Gee that sleep wear looks comfy. And yeah, most Sunday mornings included some one having a snit, a hiss fit or a full blown melt down at our place.

This made me laugh so hard - and no doubt gave your family quite a chuckle too!!! Or...maybe they're not speaking to you right now. Hee hee. You are hilarious. Thank you for your creative, insightful, and always "cozy" posts. I love them!
