The Pumpkin Farm

On a beautiful, cool Saturday morning, we paid a visit to the local pumpkin farm. As always, the children were excited and ready for adventure, although they had no idea what a "pumpkin farm" was all about. This colorful display greeted us at the entrance.

As we walked through the greenhouse leading to the pumpkins, one wonders what was going through their little minds as they anticipated what was ahead for them.

Can you believe it? " Five little monkeys" on a bed. The story their mother has been reading to them, and here were the monkeys and their mother. When the twins are born, this mother will have five little ones. Do you think there will be any times that she thinks of her children as the "five little monkeys"?

This must be one of the monkeys that fell off the bed. He looks quite sad.

The "three little kittens" was another display. Beside it was a small wash line filled with mittens. On this pumpkin farm was a playground, a wooden train to sit in, a hay area to jump in, and lots more nursery rhyme pumpkin displays. Even though we discovered that it does not officially open until October, the children seemed thrilled to spend the morning down on the farm.

What fun displays at the pumpkin farm...open or not. I'm sure the kids loved it!

Next year you can return with all five 'little monkeys'...oh my goodness. Your help will be needed.

Oops, I forgot to mention that your new blog look is lovely. At first I thought I was at the wrong place when I didn't see that cute little picture of you in the kitchen as a child :-) However, the blueberry muffin looks scrumptious.

For some reason I missed yesterday's post, but found it so beautiful today. The table is gorgeous, particularly the place setting. Your aunt is a lovely looking woman. HB to her. I also love the Punkin Patch with my grands. We have a farm where you can go on a hayride to the patch and they stop and everyone gets off and picks out their pumpkin. Such as happy time of year.

This brought back memories of when we took our children to a pumpkin farm out at the end of Long Island every autumn when they were young. There would be a corn maze and hay rides and all kinds of pumpkin displays ..even pumpkin ice cream!

It will be a joy to take my grandson one day when he's older.

Your new blog look is very elegant!

What a beautiful day at the Pumpkin Farm. Your daughter is gorgeous and I wish her all the luck in the world with the arrival of her twins. I have five children and one set of twins among them too! They are a blessing...and before all the infertility drugs, etc. when I belonged to the local "Mother of Twins Club" their motto was, "It's a club where God chooses the members".

By the way, I will have to look for that cookie mix at Trader Joe's. Sounds great!

Stay Cozy, Carrie
