Good Morning to you!
If you are a blogger, I have some questions for you today.
Do you ever stop and think about the blogging you do? Do you ever go to post
and find yourself wondering, "why am I sharing this, or why would someone
be interested in this event or info?"
Or, how about this...do you ever wonder what to share and what not to share?
Do you ever have trouble remembering the "why" and the "what" that defined your blog
when it was born, and then wonder if that "defining moment" continues on?
Perhaps, I am putting too much thought into this, but I was just curious if you had ever thoughts like this?
I so enjoy visiting other blogs. I learn many new things from each of them. Most of all I appreciate
all the wonderful friends that I continue to meet through this blogging world.
But, for today...all I have is my cup of coffee.
Maybe tomorrow will bring more:)
Hope your Monday brings you some joy and inspiration...if you need it.

"When we look back
and wonder how we ever
made it this far, we realize
it is not because we have been clever,
but because God has been wise;
not because we have been strong,
but because God has been mighty;
not because we have been consistent,
but because God has been faithful."

This is the scene that I observed one Saturday, a few weeks ago. I was sitting at my
kitchen table, and I watched this scenario happen. Thankfully, I had my camera sitting
nearby.
She approached this table, seemingly to recognize it for the first time.
She stood and studied the pictures before her.

Suddenly her little face lit up, and she had instant recognition...

She reached up and grabbed the magic picture...

Her little face was beaming as she pointed and voiced the words...Mommy.

She turned and saw Papaw, and ran carrying the picture over to him.
To all of you mommys out there...you have no idea what an important
role you playing in these little one's lives.
May this serve as a reminder to you. Through all of the unthanked and seemingly unnoticed
events of your days...you are making a huge impact, and you are loved immeasureably.

Wanted to share the chandelier that I hung on my porch this summer.
I found it in the garden section of the Kmart store. Did not purchase it because I wanted
to think about it first(part of my personality). Decided to purchase it, and when I
returned to the store, it was on clearance:) That is exactly what I was hoping for.
I brought it home, put it together, exchanged the glass votives included, for some cut
crystal ones that I've had for years. Then I hung some crystal and tiny mirror
ornaments that I hang on my dining room chandelier at Christmas with greens,
onto this newly acquired chandelier on my porch.
I added tea light candles, and I like how it looks when lit.

Lucky for me, these two precious little neices of mine, paid me a brief but fun,
visit to my porch this week. Here one of them is smelling my pink gerbera
daisies. How cute is she!!!

My dear neice's twin daughters had fun exploring my screened in porch for a few minutes.
Their pink and blue outfits fit in perfectly with my pink and white porch.
I feel so blessed with these little ones in my life.
It is Friday already. Wishing you a good day today!

Early this morning I received a Picasa Album from my uncle.
It's beauty was to impressive to not share with you.
After a winter like we had, and the snow and ice pictures that graced my
blog on a weekly basis...

...I knew I wanted to share these outstanding flower photos with you.

Talk about creativity, artistry, color, and detail...it is all captured here so beautifully.

I expressed on yesterday's post, how much I appreciate and admire the creativity and artistry
I see daily in blogland, but in my book what I see on these pictures, is "over the top".

Thank you God for designing Springtime and all the beauty that goes with it.
Please don't let me be so busy that I don't take time to examine and
appreciate it all.
The older I get, the more I realize how each season brings it's own unique beauty.

These pictures were the perfect addition to my hot cup of coffee, very early this morning.

Thank you dear uncle for sharing your photography skills with me(and all of us) today.
Happy 37th Anniversary to you and your pretty wife!

How do you take an ordinary looking gymnasium kitchen, and make it into a festive, colorful, and appealing sweet shoppe?
This is what my sister created at our annual school auction on Friday evening.
I wanted to share her creativity with you today.

She has been in charge of this little shoppe for years, and it is always a big hit.
This year is the last year it will be held at this school, due to upcoming changes.
Isn't life full of so many changes? Just when you get used to one change...there is another
one to get used to.
Back to this cute little creation that she did...

The bright pinks and oranges immediately drew people's attention. I love how
she brings things from her home, incorporates them with her dollar store finds, and her
artistic thought processes producing fun results.

A pink plastic tablecover serves as a backdrop on the wooden swinging door. Faux daisies are used to decorate the food and drink signs.

Bright colored napkins from the dollar store add another
touch of pizazz.

Here her daughter serves on of my sister's famous
iced drinks which are the featured items at this annual sweet shoppe.
Iced cappuccinos, iced pina colados, and this year...iced strawberry shakes.
They have been creating these drinks for years, on special occasions.

Here she is, my youngest sister...the originator of this shoppe. My youngest daughter worked with
her aunt and cousin throughout the benefit auction, adding fun and refreshment
to everyone's evening.

An additional goody at this shoppe, was homemade fresh strawberry pies. These were
made by the school's home economic's classes.
Each slice was topped with whipped cream and served.
Creativity takes on many forms, and in blogland I am totally amazed at
the artistic talents that grace each blog.
Just thought I would share the creativity that I discovered
at a local school's benefit auction on a Friday in May.

Trust God
"Take hours, minutes, and moments as they come, one at a time.
Don't run ahead.
Do what you can now...and at the end of the day,
let it go.
Put all that is left undone in God's hands.
God is at work in ways you cannot see.
Trust Him.
Sleep...rest...Relax in His arms."
~Ellyn Sanna
I read this yesterday and liked it. Thought you might too, whatever moments you
may be facing today.
