This was my quiet kitchen on Tuesday evening and it was all about to change...

...because we had had a fun birthday party for this sweet three year old. One kitchen table with chairs for 5 adults, 3 booster seats and 2 highchairs on the side, were the makings of a party that transformed my quiet kitchen, to an alive and bustling kitchen.
The Cinderella cake was created by this little one's aunt. The request from the little one, was for a red velvet princess cake, and that is what she got.

The crown came off the cake and onto her head. We gave her the mirror and she was pleased with what she saw.

Three generations, actually four, in the kitchen on this party evening(the fourth being my granddaughter who isn't pictured).

Going along with the princess and Cinderella theme of the evening, our gift to her was a box of dress-up clothes. With a vivid imagination and her enjoyment of "girly" things, she seemed excited to receive each piece.

Here she is in her "Cinderella" dress, earrings, and purse.

And with her dad who always calls her, his "Cinderella princess".

New sunglasses to go with the princess outfit.

Little sister was caught up in the excitement of the evening, and was thrilled to get her own pair of sunglasses.

Just a simple evening of fun in our family. Thanks for stopping by today.

Somebody shops at Target!!! Saw those precious dress up clothes there when we bought the *Fancy Nancy* outfit! I can tell how happy that precious baby girl is! Happy Birthday to your angel! She is a doll!

That is the perfect gift for a 'little princess'! She will have many hours of amusement playing dress-up.

It's most fun to transform a quiet kitchen into a party place on occasion, isn't it?

This is such a sweet post, Judy. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing how your quiet kitchen was transformed into a very special celebration for a sweet little princess. Everything from the cake to the gifts were perfect and I love her request for a red velvet princess cake. With many boys in my extended family, I find it great fun to see how the girls do things :).
Also, it never ceases to amaze me how pulled together and beautiful your daughter always looks with the busy life she is leading. But then I saw the picture of your mom, you and your daughter and I see it is a trait that seems to run in your family.
Thanks for sharing your special family times. I find it so inspiring.

My daughter makes little tu-tu's and sells them at the local clothing store! I wish cute little dresses and things like this were popular when my kids were little!
Sounds like her birthday was great fun and all enjoyed !
Have a great day :)

I love the idea of dress clothes for little girls to let their imagination run wild! I just picked up some from Target for my 3 year old niece for her bday. Your granddaughter is adorable - especially liked the photo when she was in her full princess costumer - very sweet!!
