Pawprints On The Heart

Yesterday I had fun visiting my dear cousin at her home in the country. There was a special attraction that led me to her home. Each of her two Golden Retrievers had litters of pups. One gave birth to twelve cute, healthy, pups and the other one gave birth to three of the same. For the last few weeks she has been assisting, nurturing, and patiently caring for these fifteen puppies. She invited me over to see and photograph them, and I was thrilled.

Her first litter of pups was born four weeks ago and ready to photograph. The next litter was born two weeks later and not quite ready to be in pictures.

Every single one of these puppies were sooooooooooo adorable.

Six years ago her son's Golden had it's first litter of pups. She was helping him with the project and got hooked. In the next few weeks she will be in the process of finding caring, loving and responsible homes for each one of the fifteen. It was a joy to watch the experienced and watchful care that she gave to these pups.

It was time for me to leave and time for them to go back to their mother and the familiar surroundings that they call home for the time being, until they find permanent homes.

Oh my goodness...I want to reach into the screen and snuggle with them! They are the cutest! My sister in law just got a puppy and I'm in love with it. My husband and I would love to get one, but I'm allergic :( I asked the allergist if there was any way and he said I shouldn't get one.

What a fun way to spend the day! Have a great Wednesday :)

These are just adorable. They make for a really fun shoot. You never know what they will do. We discovered a stray batch of kittens under out bay window but are not too enchanted with them. Blessings

Awww...what cuddly little guys! My daughter has a golden retriever...a real people lover she is.

We had a black lab that had twelve pups...a long time ago. That is a lot of puppies for one mamma. It's always hard to say good-bye to them when the time comes though!

Yes, I can see exactly how these furry and wiggly little fellows would leave pawprints in your heart. They are so sweet!

Pure gold! I love goldens! They are the very best family dogs!

See all of these gorgeous pups does make me wonder about all of the unwanted puppies at shelters though. I'm not too keen on breeding.
Adoption is for me.

These photo's are lovely. We had to have our dear old Llasa Apso put to sleep a couple of moths ago, she was sixteen and a half, my husband wants another dog...I don't because of the commitment, now that our family is grown and left home we dont have anyone to look after one if we are away. But these photo's make the whole idea a lot more tempting!!
