A Summer Afternoon On The Farm

He(my skillful, camera toting uncle and his beautiful wife, recently took their grandchildren on an afternoon outing to a local farm. I received these pictures from him, taken that day and knew I wanted to share them with all of you. My love for farming and the memories that I hold in my heart from all the many hours that I spent on farms of relatives and friends in my growing up years, make these pictures even more special to me. Operating a successful farming business is hard work and many long hours, but whenever I visited the farms, I found it to be more adventurous and relaxing, than my life lived in a populated area. Hopefully, you too will enjoy the moments that he captured with his camera.

A special thanks to my uncle for sharing these "life on the farm" pictures with us. Your skill is impressive!

So hard to pick a favorite with this many great ones! The first one really did catch my heart, with the sweetness of a 'kiss'. I just want to hug all of those animals!

Judy, I have a 'buttonless' award for you over at my blog today.

blessings and hugs,

I rather enjoy farming photos myself...and that coming from one who lives on a farm! The pictures usually just show the good side of farming...the happy animals and lovely pastures. My kitchen calendar is always a Robert Duncan...famous for his romantic portrayal of life on the farm. I need to be reminded of the blessings of farm life from time to time!

Judy, awesome pictures. I especially love the peacock on the roof and the kitties playing together.

It is so wonderful to see farm pictures from a farm. My grandparents still lived on the farm all of my growing up years. I got to spend lots of time there. All good memories, even taking a bath in a big tin tub behind the big old wood stove with my sister. He is a good photographer. The first is my favorite. Thanks.
