Taking a three day weekend break from our routine of business, gave us time to spend with our family, in a mountain setting. On Saturday, we were blessed with a day of grandparenting and we treasure those memories. Even though the weather did not produce sunshine, we had our own form of sunshine indoors. The older we get, the more precious these moments in time become. Above, a serious conversation taking place.
After hours of fun in the water playground, and a warm bath, I helped this little one style her curls, just as I had done so many times to her mother when she was her age.
One needing an occasional hug in the middle of playtime.
We yelled and cheered for the oldest one's team.We savored all the tender, fun, tiring, never-to-be-forgotten, moments of our times together. Above, a rare moment of brother-sister affection.
"Heart Of The Matter"
Teaching creative writing to an elementry-school class, I closed with a question: "How do you know your grandmother loves you?" A little boy waved his hand with enthusiasm. When I called on him, he said "I know my grandma loves me 'cause when I look in her eyes, I can see all the way to her heart." Author unknown

Judy, these picture surely touched my heart.....so sweet. Your times away really are a treat, aren't they? Thanks for sharing this with us.
Also, many thanks for your comment about my cloches. I do have my education in interior design and practiced as a professional for a number of years. Although I love decorating, my heart was never in design. I still help friends to this day which brings me great joy.
Have a blessed day!
