Tenderly...

Thoughtfully...

Lovingly...she took time with her baby doll.

Reflecting today and in that reflecting, I was reminded of just how meaningful little gestures can be.

An unexpected smile.

A note or card in the mailbox.

An encouraging phone call.

A hug.

Emails waiting for you on your computer's inbox.

Small happenings can make a big difference in an ordinary day's events of my life.  Would you agree?

There seems to be a theme going on today...several of us talking about realizing the importance of and finding joy in the little things. Once, when I was helping to plan something to honor our pastor, I went to him and asked him what would be meaningful to him. We discussed a few things and then he shared this with me..."Usually, it is the little things that mean the most. Sometimes when something big and showy is done, it is partially done for the one doing it. You know to make them look good or to just get attention." That has stayed with me. Of course, there are times when big events are appropriate. But day to day, the things you listed are the things that show genuine care and thoughtfulness. BTW, I visited your daughter's blog today....it is sweet! She certainly has a heart for God...like her mom!
Blessings to you today, Judy!

This is the time of year that we
do more reflecting. Backward and forward--things we want to change or accomplish. The small unexpected gestures of others are
great, especially when we are having a rough day.

Enjoy your Monday!

With the birth of my first grandchild coming on Friday, I am remembering how Amanda practiced being a mom by playing with dolls just like your dear little one.
