"Even if you live a long time, don't take a single day for granted.
Take delight in each light-filled hour."
Ecc. 11:8
Lately I am being reminded of what a gift each day is. Another one of my highschool classmates has passed away unexpectantly. Somehow, it seems we can so easily get caught up in the circumstances of our lives, that we forget that each and every day is God's gift to us to take delight in, no matter how difficult the details of that day may be...it is a gift.

Oh Judy, how very true that is. When my sister died a few years ago, very unexpectedly at 49, I thought I would always remember how precious every day is. But, I too get caught up in every day things and forget just how precious every day is. So sorry about the loss of your classmate. Another reminder to be thankful for today, this hour, this moment.

This is so true Judy, we know of a number of people who are suffering through the loss or sickness of people close to them. But we know God is in control and that each day that He gives us and them is a gift. Thank you for the reminder.

All the more reason then that I should take this opportunity to wish you, publicly, a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! Yes, folks, yesterday (the 27th) was Judy's birthday! And we are ALL so thankful that the Lord brought you into this world! So, enjoy this new year of life that has been given to you, my dear sister! And by ALL means, keep on blogging! :)

I'm so sorry to hear this news Judy, as I know how upsetting it is to lose a peer. The fragility of life is a constant and we must be accepting. It is good to enjoy each day to the fullest and gibe thanks for it!

Sorry to hear of your loss.
We sometimes think that the days go so slowly when really they don't.
You are in my prayers.

Dear Judy, It's always very sad for me to hear of the loss of one of my school friends. It's true that we get caught up in life and don't give these things much thought until we hear about them. Each moment we have here is so precious. I hope you have a lovely day. Happy Easter to you and your family. Thank you so much for the kind comments you leave on my blog.

Your thoughts today are so true. I have been learning just how quickly our ordinary lives can change. From these lessons I am trying hard to celebrate every moment of every day.
I am sorry to hear about your classmate.
