A Happy Saturday Afternoon

A happy Saturday afternoon for the grandpa and his little side kick. Someone to help him clean the bike. After the joy of fathering three daughters in his lifetime...this is a whole new thrilling experience.

This little guy could not have been happier. In fact, he did not want to remove the hat or the gloves.

I picked up a little book recently titled "Everything I Learned From My Grandpa" by Jack Sorenson. Each painting in it is done by Jack. It is a beautifully done book. In it I saw this quote that seems to fit perfectly this Saturday afternoon happening..."The greatest gift we can give one another is rapt attention to one another's existence." ~Sue Aichley Ebaugh. That is what these two gave to each other in the afternoon hours.

A smile for your Monday.

He is such a fortunate little guy to have such a loving, 'hands on' kind of "pawpaw"...dad truly is his hero. They ALL are equally as fortunate to have a loving, compassionate and creative 'mawmaw' in you!! Even though I miss cuddling with them this morning, I am so thankful that they are at a place they love just as much as home!
Love and THANKS!

So precious! I always love the photos of your adorable grands. I hadn't thought about your husband fathering all daughters, and what a special delight that must make his grandsons. ; ) What a blessing!

Have a wonderful week!

The baseball cap says it all. What a precious little guy. No doubt Grandpa is as smitten as Grandma!

It amazes me how these young ones - grandchildren - help us to see life through clearer lenses. I wish I'd had a few at 25 and 30 ... I could have spared myself the squandering of oh-so much! Then again, I might not value life's simplicities had I not had some squandering times.

Blessings,
Kathleen

Great post and lovely photo's. Our Grandsons are now able to say "Grandpa" but the twins still say "Bumpa" which is just so cute. There is something so special about the relationships between Grandpa's and their grandchildren

What a delightful Monday smile. His momma may not be thrilled with the greasy laundry though =) Brings back many memories of laundering 'shop clothes' for my little ones. Thanks for giving us a window into the beginnings of this amazing lifetime relationship. Priceless!

What priceless pictures of the grandfather/grandson relationship. How special for your husband to have a boy in his life...after all those girls! Grandparenting is just the best.

I like the quote...which can be applied to all relationships.

He is so adorable and as one who still misses my time with Grandpa who is with the LORD now, I can tell you that those moments your little grand son will NEVER forget!

Love you and thanks for your love and prayers.

Your grandson is so incredibly cute! It's real neat to see you both so involved with your grandchildren. There's no doubt he'll grow up to be a man's man! :)

p.s. - I love your welcome photo of the squirrel!

Good evening Judy, What a great post! How blessed they are to have each other. Your little grandson must feel like such a big guy to be able to hang out with his grandfather. Just think of all the wonderful things your hubby is teaching him. Family truly is what it's all about ♥ I hope your week is going good and your daughter is feeling well.
