The tree in the front yard proudly displayed it's autumn splendor on Sunday evening, as we got ready to leave for a surprise sixtieth birthday party for a dear friend.  The party was given by our friend's family. My husband and I looked forward to it, knowing we would see friends we have not
seen for a long time.

Our soon-to-be sixty year old friend, Judy, has a most creative family and we knew we would be in for a real treat.
I stood staring at the artistically arranged food table, with the Fall season as the party theme.
I liked the burlap banner across the front of the table and the way they used cardboard boxes to
add dimension to the table's décor.  Our friend's daughter had cleverly painted old glass jars, and then
added twine dress up each one.  What a great idea !  This family knows how to take what they have and make it into a beautiful presentation.

Here her daughter-in-law filled small jelly jars with a delicious pumpkin dessert.

Here they made a pear and cranberry, sugar cookie pizza.  What a flavor filled treat that was!

The tiny paper bags were perfect for filling with caramel corn and pretzel sticks, and arranged in
an old wooden crate.

Flowers and berries from their gardens, added color to the display.

Fall leaves added color to every display.  I thought the old wooden door with the burlap wreath,
added a nice touch.

We laughed, talked and caught up with these fun people, while celebrating a special lady and her
sixty years with us.  Her caring, helpful spirit, her vast amount of creative genes, and her love and concern for others, made it our privilege to celebrate her at the party.

Hi Judy. :)

The food for that party is amazing. Must have taken hours to put together.

Your tree is so pretty...I'd have to just stare at it all the time. Can't wait for our trees to grow some.

Now, that's one of the cutest fall decors I've seen. What a lovely celebration and I'm sure you enjoyed it tremendously. Love it when folks go "the extra mile" to make things "just right" for a celebration.

Blessings!

What a wonderful breath of fresh air this is to me today. I could even smell the Autumn Elixirs as I shuffled from scene-to-scene.

I would love to drink my morning coffee looking at your front yard tree (or maybe my evening glass of wine). Beautiful!
