Just a few touches of fall for you this weekend.
Mums are in abundance, and in so many brilliant colors.

My mind was caught up in a list of things that needed to be done, and stops I had to make, when I this sight on the grass field by the country road, caught my eye.   Pots of mums filled the grassy space.  I thought to myself, "that it was almost like God was trying to get my attention and once again, He used beauty to do it." I stopped at the roadside stand and stared at what seemed like a huge, outdoor artist's palette.  This verse came to my mind as I drove away, "Consider how the flowers grow.  They do not labor or spin, yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like
one of these."  Luke 12:27 NIV

Outdoor vignettes at a local country store.

On the old porch of the store, these displays, along with the aroma of pumpkin, and the music being played through the intercom, made me want to pull up a chair and relax.

Down below the porch, a cage of tiny bunnies was beckoning those passing by, to purchase one to take along home.  At the time I took this picture, two other grandmas were taking the same picture:)

Metal garden decorations were everywhere, for sale.

A few days ago, my niece shared a pack of candy corn pretzels in the shape of mini pumpkins, that she purchased at the local Target store.  The shape and the taste of these cleverly designed little pretzels, was addicting.

I placed some of the pretzels on one of my tiny silver trays, and smiled to myself at the lovely presentation it made.

Farming chores are endless this time of the year, being completed in many varying methods.  This gentleman looked totally relaxed as he carried out the chore of harvesting, far away from the government shutdown and all that it entails.

I close this post with a picture my daughter sent me from last week's fair.  I hope it brings you a smile today.

Wishing each of you time to relax this weekend, and time to enjoy fall's bounty, whether it is in the very warm weather conditions that we have, or the snowy weather conditions in our daughter and son-in-law's part of the country.

I think we could all use a break from the heaviness of the news. I know I have found that here this morning as I scrolled through your photos. This is such a beautiful season and you have captured that so well. From the mums to the two little cuties on the tractor.
Our weather is unseasonably warm too. My husband was telling me about a winter storm being forecast and I could hardly believe that's possible already. I hope it isn't too bad for your daughter and son-in-law.

I do appreciate how mums add to the autumn season and how they come back strong each year here. I keep buying them and tucking them into the garden . Some year I will have a glorious mum display here!

Snow + autumn looks wonderful together for a day or two at a time. Hope the snow near your family was not a problem!
