 My recent fun Walmart finds;

The gorgeous new copy of the "Romantic Homes Magazine", a LED Flexible Book Light, and one of the pretty pastel coffee mugs in a display near the freezer isle.  This is not a promotion for the Walmart stores in any way, it is simply a display of three good, inexpensive purchases I made at their store.  By the way, the latest copy of the Romantic Homes Magazine, is one of the most beautiful copies ever!

I think these three items packaged together would make a very special gift for someone.  Christmas is coming:)

I discovered these colorful flexible book lights on a display in the bookstore section of the store.
The price was 3.49 each and I knew I wanted one for me.  Reading is one of my favorite pasttimes, and the older I get the more I need light when I read, especially when travelling in the car, or when I read in the late hours of the night:)  I must tell you, my new light works so well for me, that I wanted to tell you about it.  Even better, the last trip I made to the Walmart store, I found them marked down to 2.49.  The batteries are included.

I found that I can use my light in different ways, bending it however I need it to be...in the book,
on top of the book, around my wrist, or hooked onto the headboard of the bed.

Any way I choose, reading one of my favorite Gooseberry Cookbooks has become easier for me.

And, if I choose not to turn on the big overhead light in my kitchen, and I want to tackle making some delicious roasted red pepper soup, from my "Celebrations" cookbook, I just pull out my trusty new light, and it all becomes clear for me:)

If you need a small, unique gift for someone, this will cost less than some cards,
and will be useful in many ways.

Thanks for stopping by.
Happy Monday!

judy, Those little finds are beautiful and practical. I'm going to go look for those little lights. We have flexible book lights in our trailer for reading at night but mine is a bit heavy on the light end and it likes to droop.
I'm a magazine person. I have such a hard time not buying a new one when I do groceries. Now.. I will want to peek in this one too.
Fun post today!

Oh, I'm always looking for gift ideas and these are just super! I'm looking for something to take to a dear friend that has cancer and this whole set up might just "fit the bill." Happy new week and thanks for sharing your finds with us.

Love your Walmart finds. And guess where I am off to? Walmart...to pick up some photos. I think I will check out the book section and see if those reading lights are available in Walmart Canada as well. Great idea.

Hmm, I am thinking a quick trip to Wally World might be in order. Very cute. Lots of grands who would enjoy one of those.
Thanks for sharing :)
