First of all, the pretty displayed, country mailbox caught my eye.

Then the wooden roadside stand was the next drawing card for me.  Out in the middle of rows
of corn stalks and blue sky, a simple, painted stand stood by the side of the long driveway.

I pulled into the driveway and sat staring at the colorful and well designed floral arrangements for sale.

What time and creativity someone put into each of the arrangements.  The prices made me smile.  Like my one daughter states when we pass a stand like this one, "if those arrangements were being sold in the city where I live, they would never be that price!"

This bouquet called out my name:)

I smiled again as I saw the small plastic box on the shelf, labeled "money box".  What trust this exhibits.

On the overhead wooden plank it read, "If not marked, it is $ .50."  I saw that someone had put .50 in the plastic box.  I wondered to myself, what they bought that was unmarked?

Through this brief interlude on a quiet country road, I suddenly found myself being watched.
I looked on the side of the driveway and there they were.  Who would leave without paying, with this type of security system?

Yes, this is what was sitting in my cup holder as I drove away.

It went perfectly with the two gifts I was blessed with recently;
~out-of-this-world pumpkin cookies from my sister-in-law,
~and the best smelling pumpkin candle from my daughter.

Simple blessings from my kitchen counter.
I would love to share them with you if that were possible.

Oh, most of all, I am so thankful to be able to celebrate this little blond haired girl's fifth birthday.
What fun she adds to our lives!

"Just a little something from me" today.

Love that you came upon that sweet little flower stand...I love fresh flowers bought from a outdoor stand. Just something about that makes them more beautiful.

Hugs!

That mailbox sure would have caught my attention too! So beautiful!
Same with the bouquets of flowers and the honor system lived out in this rural area.

Those flowers are so remarkable! They would be a least $75 if purchased at a florist in NYC. I sometimes buy the flower bouquets at Costco -- $15 for a nice bunch, but I'm sure you had a better bargain.

Happy 5th birthday to your little grand girl!

Your sweet heart always
makes me smile, Judy.

What a neat little place
you came upon. I wouldn't
want to leave and my
camera, like yours, would
be a-snapping!

I have the same vine that
is on that cute country mail-
box in two of my planters.
It is Mandevilla, and I love it
because it tolerates the hot
summer weather.

Happy B-day to your cutie
pie granddaughter!
