Now This is a Snowstorm!

Posting twice in a short period of time is quite unusual for me, but this is a real snowstorm and I wanted you to see what I found outside my backdoor early(5:00am) this morning. And, it is still snowing and blowing.

For people like me, who enjoy Winter and snow, this is a beautiful way to be greeted in the early morning hours. My coffee pot works and my book is wanting to be read.
Good Morning to each of you!

Good morning to you also! It is a beautiful site to see, however, I'd rather have my coffee and my book and 78 degrees!!! :) Have a warm day inside...looks like that's where you'll be!!! (Really, the pics are beautiful though)!!!

Oh how I wish I could join you! I love snow, and wouldn't mind being housebound one bit (unless I had no heat).

What a perfect depiction of God's pure, softening grace; even his white-headed wisdom. I can't consider snow without visions of His generosity (and fierceness).

Enjoy your warmth and book.

Hugs,
Kathleen

P.S. Here in the Phoenix area it's supposed to be 75-ish today. :)

Good Morning Judy,
Wow, that is a lot of snow. It sure does look pretty in your picture.
The snow we received last Saturday is gone now. We had rain all day yesterday.
I hope you have an enjoyable weekend and enjoy a few nice warm cups of coffee. I can imagine your grandchildren will have a lot of fun playing in the snow.

I'm glad you enjoy the snow. Sounds like you have your day planned.
Here in the Pacific Northwest it is cool and clear.

Wow thats a lot of snow!! We have had more snow this year here in the uk than we have had for a while, but still not as much as you where we live. I enjoy it whil it is here but am happy when it goes. We live on a hill and dont have a 4x4. I hope you have a fun weekend!

Oh, don't worry, I LOVE my boots. I just wouldn't recommend wearing them to power walk, jump in puddles and carry two two year olds who got tired walking!

Looks like a special cozy snuggle down kinda day. I remember those from my New England childhood. Nothing but a Laura Ingalls Wilder book and some hot steaming chocolate.

Wow! Beautiful photos! We have several inches here, too. We have other friends in your part of the country and they mentioned on their Facebook pages they had anywhere between 15-22 inches. I immediately thought of you and wondered how much you were getting. Hope you have a wonderful day, snuggled in cozy with your coffee and your book. = ) I think I'll be staying in today too (and looking forward to it)!

Blessings, sweet friend!

What a beautiful sight! I wish we had more of those days, just like those in the east wish they had less. It looks wonderful, and a perfect day or be in your home, warm and cozy and blessed!

I was yearning to wake up to something as beautiful as that this morning but all I have is rain. I'm not complaining...your view is prettier though. LOVE IT!!!

Thanks for sharing and I can smell the coffee too!

Now I am curious where you live! And if you still have power. Shall we send in the St. Bernards to help out?

Just a little something from Judy said...

In answering your question, I live in Pennsylvania, and no you don't have to send in the St. Benards. My husband just finished clearing our driveway with the snowblower. Because the snow was so deep it took him four hours to complete the job. It is so beautiful!

It is most pretty over here! I'm hearing all about the snow storms along the east coast...and realizing that it is still winter in a good part of the country. Have a fun IN day!
