It was a rare and fun event on a Friday. We met at a Cracker Barrel to celebrate a dear person and the 50 years that she has been here. My mother-in-law, sister-in-laws(one is the one we were celebrating), and the neices and the neice-to-be. We spent time telling stories, laughing, and remembering.

From left to right, my SIL, me, my SIL who is celebrating a birthday, and my dear MIL. It is a privilege to celebrate this special SIL's birthday. She is a warm, caring person with a wonderful sense of humor, and we find it hard to believe that she has reached this milestone. She certainly does not look her age(despite what her sons say).

From left to right, my daughter, two neices, and my soon-to-be neice. It seems like yesterday that they were toddlers, and now some of them have their own toddlers. We look forward to a new little one arriving soon...very soon.

And of course we enjoyed some delicious food and lots of hot coffee. All of this before the snowstorm hit.
I looked out the window a few minutes ago, and it truly looks like a winter wonderland.

What a wonderful time with such a special group of ladies! The closeness shared by all of you is evident in your smiles. = )

We got a few inches of snow tonight and it looks just beautiful. We heard your part of the country was to receive quite a lot. If that is the case, hope you can stay warm & cozy at home this weekend! = )

Blessings,
Tracy

It looks like you had such a wonderful time. There is nothing quite as nice in this world as spending time with family on a special day.

That looks like a celebration to be remembered! I think you picked the perfect way to help your SIL ring in a milestone birthday.
