"The splendor of the rose and the whiteness of
the lily do not rob the little violet of its scent
nor the daisy of its simple charm.
If every tiny flower wanted to be a rose,
spring would lose its loveliness."

This beautifully created mosaic was done by my uncle. It is a collection of all the colorful variety of flowers he captured with his camera, this past year.
Just think, in a few months this will be part of our daily scenery.
I think this year I will be more aware of flowers than I ever was. It has been a long, cold winter.

Your uncle made a wonderful flower mosaic, Judy! I also enjoyed the quotations you paired this photo with.

I agree that it has been a long cold winter. We had 19 more inches of snow last night and I spent many hours shoveling out my house, my Mom's house, and her elderly neighbor's house' My only consolation is that I felt I burned enough calories to eat a few cookies :-)

That is really neat how he did that!! You should learn how to do it with some of your photos too!

How beautiful! Flowers put a smile on my face and happiness in my heart. Those quotes are especially lovely, too. I keep watching the ground for the first hints of my daffodil & tulip stems sprouting...can't wait!

I think it's OK to wish for flowers when winter hangs on a little too long! How lovely to see so many flowers together in a mosaic bouquet.

We just arrived home from Vancouver...where the trees are blossoming and the daffodils and pansies are all blooming. The flowers are spring are so fresh...and so welcome.

Your uncle rocks!

We are a tad morose that our winter has been so mild. The east coast stole our winter I think. Now what ever will summer be like-too hot or too cool?

How absolutely beautiful! You have me wanting to bring out my bunnies. The sun is shining here and I can feel spring in the air even though we still have snow on the ground.
