The End of July

What I like about the end of July...

...when your neighbor can't tend her garden for a week and offered access to it, and this is what you come home with:)

...when I sit down to the dinner table and am served a salad like this, prepared by our daughter.

...when cooler and drier days permit time to enjoy the screened in porch.  Time for dinners with family and friends...

... time to sit and enjoy a game of Checkers, even if you are three years old and have not a clue as to how to play.

...when there is time to relax after the sun has set, and the fireflies outside the screen, are in abundance.

... and when there is time to swing until your heart's content.

Yes, there are simple blessings, but I am so thankful for them.

Oh yes, and I am thankful for each of you too!

Fresh veggies and time to swing to your heart's content. What more could you want on a summer day. :) Your post made me smile.

Fireflies... they must be pretty. We don't have them here.

You have truly captured the best parts of late July. Vegetables fresh from the garden to the salad plate. Yummy!
Your porch is so pretty in the evening light.
