Can you guess what we will be doing this weekend?

Their parents are celebrating their anniversary and well deserved time alone together.

Not a chance we will ever be the Von Trapp family,  but we do have fun...

...especially when he discovered that sound can be produced when one blows into the side of the harmonica:)

Concerts and then on to baking cake pops.  There was no problem finding eager volunteers to do some tasting when the chore was completed.  If you lived close by, we would  have shared some with you:

Wishing you an enjoyable weekend, with perhaps a little music and a cake pop for you too!

What wonderful memories you are making together. I would have enjoyed hearing your concert. Everybody looks so happy and the pictures are precious.
I have no doubts that the parents are enjoying their well-deserved anniversary getaway.
Enjoy the cake pops. What a cute idea!

You are heading for a fun weekend! Do you get special cases for those cake pops? My daughters made them last year for a party but they just hand rolled dough and then put them on sticks after they were baked...I am sure they would love proper cases.

Yes Lindsey, I found an electric cake pop pan at KMart, and best of all, since someone returned it without the cardboard box I got it for half price. You pour the dough into individual compartments, then close the lid and cook for 10 minutes. It is so simple and not much cleanup.

I think you are having way too much fun over there! Enjoy every moment...as we know how quickly they fly by.

Question...where did you get the harmonicas? I picked a couple up at the Dollar Tree at christmas time, but they didn't work too well. We are babysitting our grandchildren soon and I would love to have some "functional" ones!
Thanks so much and keep up the good blog!

Dear M/C,
I found the harmonicas at The World Market when we were visiting our daughter. They were inexpensive and they sound great!
Hope your concert is as fun as ours:)
