We, the three of us plus our grandma, went to visit our great-grandma at the village recently, where she lives. Our grandma told us it was really going to be fun and she was right.
Here we are walking down the corrider that leads to great-grandma's apartment.

Our great-grandma liked introducing us to her friends at the village.
We saw talking birds.

We saw many bright colored fish in the huge aquarium.

Great-grandma showed us this bright colored quilt that the people who lived at the village created and quilted for the people of Louisiana, those who had lost their homes and belongings during Katrina.

She took us to see the conservatory. She said that one of the residents left a gift so that this addition could be built.

It was beautiful inside...

...and so peaceful and relaxing. Great-grandma said people come here to sit and drink their coffee or read.

There were bright colored flowers and lots of green plants. This pink flower had fallen off and she wanted us to smell it. Grandmas like to do that:)

We got to ride the "jolly trolley", and one of us got to help drive. This trolley goes throughout the halls of the home to pick up anyone who needs a ride. It is operated by volunteers like the gentleman in charge here.

We went back to great-grandma's apartment and played with her toys after our tour. When we went to leave, she gave us each a big hug and asked us to be sure to come back again real soon. She said that our visit was the best surprise.
"Into all our lives, in many simple, familiar, homely ways, God infuses this element of joy from the surprises of life, which unexpectedly brighten our days, and fill our eyes with light."
~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Looks like great grandma gets a lot of love. We make those same kind of outings to the great grand parents. It is so wonderful how much the grands and the great grands enjoy each others company =]

This is such a precious post, Judy! The joy great grandma has to see her little great grandchildren is so beautiful! They looked very serious at first but in the end you can see how much they love they had for her!

Her village is beautiful too! Love the conservatory!
