bless all young mothers
at the end of the day,
kneeling wearily with each
small one
to hear them pray.
Too tired to rise when done...
and yet, they do,
longing just to sleep
one whole night through.
Too tired to sleep...
too tired to pray...
God,
bless all young mothers
at the close of the day."

A precious poem and photo!
Very sweet prayer. I remember those days as well....always being tired and under slept. Funny....feeling that way these days, too....just for other reasons! :-)
Hi Judy,
I found your blog on Debi's blog due to knowing Connie via blogging. Anyhow, I'm a Christian gal living in Southern Calif just moving on in life after being widowed, while raising a little one still at home. God is good as he's taking care of me just as a heavenly father would.
I look forward to continuing to read your blog.
Here's mine if you wish to follow mine;

Oh Judy, what a beautiful precious baby!!!
I agree with you on the young mothers. I have a daughter in her mid-twenties who is a young Mother of two and I'm thankful they are coming for thanksgiving. I'm also hoping to give her some much needed rest during that visit as I COMPLETELY enjoy my two Grand babies!!!!
Love you much!
Amen! Lovely post Judy. yes it does bring back memories doesnt it..watching our daughters. What a pleasure it is to be able to help out at times.
What a beautiful poem! I enjoy your daughter Jeane so much in her posts. I just stopped to pray for her after reading that prayer. In the midst of her busy life, she always gives me something to smile at. What a blessing she must be to you. We mothers of girls! :D
I just this morning was reading some of her poems, and I knew right away when I started reading your post that this was RBG. Her words always touch my heart.
Have a great Sunday!
Hi there, I just popped over from Sonja's and so glad I did-it seems we have much in common and I loved your profile. What a wonderful prayer-going to copy it and remember it. I'm going to follow you because I think we travel many of the same paths with daughters and lots of grands.
Blessings,
Noreen
What a precious and powerful sentiment, Judy!
It's so true ... young mothers have a huge responsibility, and so rarely get to take a break. I can think of no one better than Ruth Graham (and you) to frame their hearts in words.
Such a precious baby!
Kathleen
