Because we have many of these on our property...

...we needed to have a work day on Saturday. For years he had his daughters help him rake the leaves. Now, he has this little guy to help him with this chore. Together they worked through the morning.
They raked...

...and they used the leaf blower(notice same jeans and black cowboy boots).

They bagged the leaves...

...and had lessons on how to tie in the process.

"Some people make the world special just by being in it."
~author unknown, but the sentiments felt deeply by the big and little guys in the pictures.

This "little guy" was a pretty good trade off for the grown daughters. I can't tell who was having more fun?!

This post has me smiling as I read about this special time between grandpa and grandson. How cute that they have the same jeans and boots on. I was reminded of the times my sons would help their dad with yard work when they were younger. Those days pass much too quickly, but how nice that you will have this blog post to look back on.
Thanks for your comments while I have been away. I will be back home Sunday and look forward to regular blog visiting once again.

Oh Judy, I love this! Reminds me of all the years in my childhood that I worked in the yard with my Grandpa although he did most of the work (smile).

My favorite was painting the picket fence with him once per year and it was a big fence because it went from the base of the garage and wrapped around the side of the house all the way to the front of the house and their home was a corner house so the lot was pretty big or at least to me it was. Grandma would make us her home-made iced-tea (hmmmm good) and we'd paint the fence. I had cover-alls on that were too big and his painting hat.

What a joy that was! Your grandbabies and mine will have great memories of times with their grandparents too!

Love you friend.

Oh did I tell you that our daughter and grand girls are coming for Thanksgiving???? I'm so excited!!!
