Summer is fleeting. Summer can bring out nostalgic thoughts for each of us. Some of today's simple pleasures are creating another set of summer memories. Sharing a few moments of this summer's fun.

Rock climbing fun, even if it is only on the side of the swing set. One wonders if this may be the beginning of this adventure for this little one.
Time to sit on the dock and pass a summer afternoon.

Scrumptious, fresh from the farm corn on the cob.

Abundant clusters of queen ann's lace is everywhere by the sides of the road.

A stroll down the farm lane.
"summer afternoon-
summer afternoon...
the two most beautiful words in the English language."
~ Henry James
Beach volleyball for all ages. Her daddy is teaching her early on, his skillful volleyball techniques.

An afternoon of paddleboating on the lake can be so peaceful and relaxing.

Early evening ride creates a romantic way to enjoy a summer sunset.

Working into the late evening cutting the straw and baling it . These seasoned farmers know all too well, that winter is just around the corner.
Whenever I catch an aroma of the straw, my mind takes me back to the hours I spent on my uncle's farm, each summer.
Today is to be another hot one. Hopefully you are creating your own set of summer memories for those you love.

Judy~ I LOVE summer!!! I enjoyed this post so much...you are so right...summer memories are always the best kind. I never want summer to end. Sometimes I wonder why someone like me would live in Minnesota. I often dream of living in a state where they have endless summer. But, who knows? maybe I wouldn't appreciate it as much??? I know my friend in Arizona sure appreciates snow when they go stay in the mountains.

I LOVE corn on the cob and queen anne's lace!!! love love love paddleboating and you will see in an upcoming post on my blog that the house we bought is actually on a lake! (Minnesota supposedly has like 10,000 of them haha) anyways, just want you to know that I still LOVE your blog and I miss you and all my Lancaster friends so much! It was so great to see you and talk to you briefly at Clark and Alisa's wedding!
stay beautiful

Seeing haying or field with the dock weed turning autumnal brown always tugs a bit at my heart...and makes me hug summer pleasures closer to my heart.
