The Baking Artist

My neice was experimenting in the kitchen again this week. She leaves for college in a few days, and so do her highschool friends, so a good bye party was necessary. She found these adorable desert cheeseburgers on a blog that she enjoys visiting; http://bakerella.blogspot.com/2009/06/fast-food-fun.html .

I asked her to send me pictures of her project. I think they are adorable, and to think that this was her first time to bake them. What a fun project to do with your children or grandchildren. A visit to the blog where she got the idea, will show you how they did cake french fries that looked as real as these cheeseburgers do.

My neice's mother told me these actually tasted so good. She said they were moist and the flavors blended perfectly. For me, I would much prefer the real cheeseburgers and french fries, but I must admit I really liked the way these turned out, and thought it would be fun to share them with you.

How cute and a bonus that they also taste good. They remind me of a faux cheeseburger recipe we used to make when my kids were small using Vanilla Wafers with sesame seeds on top for the bun.

Every time I visit you I think how cute your header is especially the photo of the little girl baking. Is that you or one of your daughters? It is a precious picture.

Thanks for your visit this morning and your kind comments.
