This weekend, like every weekend brought with it many interesting moments. One of the fun moments for me, was going to the mailbox on Friday afternoon and receiving a package from Cynthia's Cottage Designs. Please allow me the privilege of taking time to share with you a few very important facts about this dear lady. I have been visiting her blog for the last two years, and always...yes, always I come away inspired by her and her creative talents. Most people have their favorite designers, those whom decorate and create in a style that appeals to their tastes. This lady would be in that category for me, and apparently for many of you out there in blogland. She certainly has a following, and when you visit her blog, you will understand "why?".
All of this to tell you that she recently had a special and quite generous giveaway that I am sure everyone commenting on her blog, hoped to win. Unbelievably so, I won.

What did I win? Well, in the package that I received was a beautiful ruffled pink and white apron, a book titled "Plates" by Mary Engelbreit's Home Companion. The picture of the dining room at the top of this post, is one of the favorite pictures that I discovered in this book. I would love to sit down and enjoy dinner at the table pictured. Also, included was a small flower sign which will look perfect on my porch. But...the most amazing part of this giveaway, is...
...a free design consultation...worth 150.00, with Cynthia. Just imagine this, I get to have this professional designer's advice on any room in my home...for free.
This is truly a special gift. I send her pictures of any room in my home...she then shares her skilled, artistic, professional advice on what changes I could make to it...free advice from someone who I admire...a real gift. What I like most about her decorating skills is the cozy, warm, inviting feel she gives to the rooms that she decorates. You will know what I mean, if you spend any amount to time visiting her blog.
I have to think through this, but let me tell you, I will share the "before" and "after" pictures with you when it is completed. In the meantime, I am sure you would enjoy visits to her blog at cynthiascottagedesign.blogspot.com/
Thank you, Cynthia. It produced happy moments for me this weekend.

Another joy in my weekend...brother feeding brother. Help is needed in many forms with this group of little ones...and is always most appreciated. It reminds me of one of my mother's quotes..."many hands make light work".

My husband took these two on a visit to the dairy farm, much to their delight. They loved the hands-on moments that were provided. This is their first experience of feeding the cows. They saw the peacocks, and the kittens.
They each had a cookie and cream small ice cream cone from the little dairy store.
Thought I would share a few of the "happy moments" from my weekend.

Life has many moments that are not happy...that leave one feeling sad and discouraged. But, on this Monday morning I chose to share only the good moments with you.

Congratulations on your exciting win! Lovely gifts you received and a free design consultation from Cynthia is going to be so fun. I look forward to seeing the results.
Your weekend pictures are all so cute. I can't believe how big one of the twins looks as his brother is feeding him.
I had to smile when you said your mom uses the saying "many hands make light work." That was something my mom always said. In fact, I was just thinking about how that generation had so many little sayings like that.

Some happy moments indeed! What a great giveaway you won. I'm looking forward to seeing what the two of you collaborate on through the 'design consultation'.

It looks like you had many happy moments this weekend...your grands are so precious! But we know that life is also made up of many sad moments...and you choose to share with us those only those things that encourage and uplift. May God give you comfort and strength for the 'not so happy' things that come your way.
