Good afternoon, my friends! Hopefully you are having a beautiful, somewhat relaxing day today.
I am sure that if you think back over this past week, you might have found that it turned out differently than you had anticipated that it would, last Sunday afternoon. That is just how life is.
A week ago today, I certainly would not have anitcipated that I would be sitting in the corner chair of a hospital room while my husband was being treated for a totally unexpected heart condition..."atrial flutter". Funny thing is, it is a heart condition he had, that he not even know existed.I took him into the hospital on Thursday morning and brought him home, last evening. In light of what many people are facing, it is minor. For us it was not.
Believe me, we both learned many things through this experience. He is fine now. They did heart procedures on him, which involved him swallowing a camera(tiny one, of course), and some other needed procedures. He was introduced to a new part of his daily life for a while...blood thinner.
He feels much better now. We both have a new appreciation for the medical world and the solutions they offered to him. We also have a new appreciation for daily life and the real gift that it is.
When I came home, I found the following pictures sent to me in an email from a good freind. She was going through her picture files and found these pictures that her husband had captured with his camera. She sent them to me because she knows how much I enjoy flowers, photography and nature pictures. I was reminded again of this guy's amazing photography skills. I thought that I would share them with you on this beautiful afternoon, so that you could enjoy them with me.

Would you agree with me that he is another talented photographer in my life?
Thank you,
Rick.

Today I thank God for my sweetest things, and I thank God for you!

My mother used to say "you never know what your day is going to bring you". So sorry your plans were altered this way but so glad your sweetest is on the mend. Keeping you all in much prayer. Trusting your man listens to doctors orders - they can be so stubborn with medical things and work, ya know. =)

When I didn't see a post from you for a few days, I was a bit concerned, but thought maybe you were off on a little getaway. The hospital was not the getaway I would have imagined. I was so sorry to read about your husband. It sounds like the doctors were able to diagnose the problem and administer the right treatment. I'm glad to know that he is doing better now. You will both be in my thoughts.

Your friends husband took some beautiful photos and I enjoyed looking at them this afternoon.

I love surprises, but not the sort you've been faced with. I'm delighted to hear that it's "minor" in the grand scheme of things, but I sure understand how unsettling those minor things can be.

When I meandered through the amazing pictures you posted, I couldn't help but think that they were a virtual bouquet sent to cheer you. They couldn't be lovelier!

Praying for your hubby, and you. May vigor & amazing health be yours to claim for all your days.

I'm so very happy that your hubby is okay, and that it is a treatable thing! How right you are... one day can bring changes we never thought of.

It sure makes everything we hold dear, even sweeter when something catches us off guard like this week did.

Praying for complete and 'better than ever' good health!

Even in an intense medical situation your grace and acceptance of what is shine through.

You will be an inspiration to me when I next face some adversity..
To be able to still enjoy beauty, as in your pics you shared.

May healing be complete for your dear husband.

Judy, I'm sorry that your husband had this medical scare, but glad to hear that he was treated and released with a good prognosis. It is a very treatable condition and I'm sure he'll do fine as he keeps up with his follow care and medication.

Judy...so happy that your husband is doing better and you were able to get him to the hospital as soon as you did. We never know when life will take a crazy turn and then you do see things differently. Our pastor said this week " if God is working in our lives, we will face things daily that we need to lean on Him for." He is so right.

God Bless YOu and you are in my prayers,
COnnie

I'm just catching up on a few posts here...and am so sorry to hear of your hubby's heart issues. Wishing him all the best as he copes with his heart irregularities.

It all sounds so familiar...since my hubby has had atrial fibrilation many times over the years...and is on blood thinners as well.

So glad your husband is going to be OK. Coincidentally, my sister only yesterday had to visit a cardiologist and thankfully she too is going to be fine. The photographs are just beautiful.
