Tomorrow it is forecasted to be another day with 100 degree tempetures.  It is just too hot to be doing the normal outside Summer activities.  I decided to do a giveaway.  I had purchased this "Summer Divine" cookbook recently to share with you.  It is chocked full of homemade goodness, 408 pages worth.  As I looked through the pages, I was sure that you all would love trying the simple, country recipes.  In fact, I made a big portion of "Healthy Granola", and after each of us tasted it, I wanted to share the granola with you too.

I filled an old coffee jar with the homemade granola.  I also added a white and blue striped tea towel, and an old glass milk bottle that I purchased at a flea market recently.  So there you have it, the cookbook, the granola filled coffee jar, and the glass bottle for the milk, when you serve the granola.

All you need to do for an opportunity to win the gift, is to leave me a comment.  Tell me what your favorite breakfast consists of.  A name will be drawn on Monday evening, and my friends at the Postal Connection will mail it to you.

Thank you for your visits to "justalittlesomethingforyou".  Hope you have an enjoyable weekend, and that you stay cool if you live where the tempetures are high.

First I have to tell you how much I love both your blog and your daughters blog. You have a beautiful family.
What a wonderful giveaway!
I love to have hot oatmeal or toast with my moms homemade jelly.

You make the simplest gifts looks amazing! I'm not sure if this offer is good for Canada and if not, that's okay. I do like to share what I like for breakfast ... it's interesting pancakes like apple or banana pancakes with more fruit or baked oatmeal with milk. Sometimes I wake up in the morning and I can hardly wait to eat!

Your blog is looking lovely and this is a great giveaway. My favourite breakfast is pancakes, blueberries and maple syrup. But I don't expect you to mail this to the UK so I am just 'saying' rather than 'entering' :) I love to visit your blog!

Good morning! Your blog is looking soo good! My favorite meal of the day is breakfast, but most of the time I keep it really simple. One egg, one piece of toast, and a large scoop of blueberries...HOWEVER, on those occasions were I eat whatever I want, which I will admit doesn't happen very often, haha, it is definitely French toast, with boysenberry syrup, and crispy bacon. Have a nice week-end!

It has been such a pleasure to get to know you through your blog. I admire the way in which you bring happiness into the lives of others with your beautiful and heartfelt gifts. This giveaway is no exception. So pretty, so thoughtful, so... Judy :).
I love breakfast and am often thinking about what I will have the next morning as I drift off to sleep. LOL. In this hot weather I prefer either cereal with berries or Greek yogurt with berries, a drizzle of honey and a sprinkle of granola.

That would sure make a nice "welcome to the neighborhood" gift. Great inspiration!

Your blog makes me smile, Judy! I love it! Thanks for your words of wisdom! My favorite breakfast includes Golden Barrel Pancake & Waffle mix and their delicious syrup...just like I enjoyed this morning. What reallytopped this morning's breakfast was that my 10 yr old niece and 8 yr old daughter MADE it for my hubby & I! Yummy!

Love visiting your blog. Always provides something to add to the list of things to be thankful for. Breakfast - a ripe banana over cornflakes but if there is homemade granola in the house then definately granola!

I think everyone is so tired of this heat! It has gone on long enough!
Something refreshing would be lovely.

Most mornings, I enjoy a small bit of yogurt with fresh berries. If it is a special morning with family, our favorite is a baked oatmeal that a dear friend introduced us to! Thank you, Judy! I am also lucky enough to have a daughter in law that makes it each time we visit!! What a beautiful Gift Basket! Where do you find the antique glass jars? Beautiful!

Such a charming little vignette.

Nanette, I am so fortunate in that I am surrounded with many flea markets and antique malls in my part of the world. I am always on the lookout for old unique, pretty, and useful jars and bottles. I find them many times for just a few dollars. Thank you for you kind comments about my baked oatmeal recipe.

I've been watching news of your rising, scorching temps. Ugh!#*&@(!! Having lived 10 years in Arizona I know so well what the word "swelter" means. What did people do B.A.C. (before air conditioning)?

Leave it to you to find a way to be creative anyway.

My favorite breakfast you ask?? Well, it HAS to be the mornings when I have my sister, Judy's (or niece, Jeane's - I'm not fussy) homemade Bran Muffins chock full of toasted walnuts and sweet, plump raisins!!! :) oh, the memories!!
