It was a warm, sunny late summer afternoon on the farm.  Family and friends gathered to celebrate a very special occasion.  My nephew and his dear bride-to-be had planned the event and everyone was so happy to be a part of it.  The lavender and peach color scheme added the perfect touch, to the country look of the wedding.

A nearby florist did a beautiful job creating the colorful bouquets.

The pond side setting created a lovely background for the wedding.  It was an honor to have our son-in-law perform the meaningful ceremony.

Tubs of ice cold waters and sodas were a welcomed site in the afternoon heat.  What gracious hospitality!

One sure did not need many extra decorations, with beauty like this setting for the ceremony.

The reception was held in the barn and offered country dining at it's finest.

Tiny lights were strung on the rafters, and bouquets of fresh flowers graced the round tables.

Old barn shutters and twine were used to hold the placecards.  What a creative idea!

The bride and groom were seated at their own table in the center of the room, giving all of the guests opportunity to talk to them throughout the reception.
It was a joy to share in the happiness of this dear couple.

The lovely cake and cupcake display, was baked and decorated by one of the caterer's daughters.

And, at the end of the evening, the newly married couple left the farm on the Harley, while the well-wishers waved sparklers.  They were only riding up the road to the location of their car, thus the reason they are helmetless.
Thanks to my neice and my sister-in-law, I could share these few pictures with you, of a memorable wedding on the farm.

Such a great alternative and what a beautiful setting. Sometimes formality can get in the way and weddings like this seem more fun.

I love to see the creative ideas that people come up with when planning their weddings. Your nephew and his bride thought of every detail to make their special day a beautiful and memorable one.
The farm setting is so pretty and I love how they sat right in the center of the room so that everybody could easily visit with them.
Looks like a lovely wedding from start to finish. So glad you shared it.
