Fifty seven years ago, these were the dishes that graced her kitchen table. They are hand-painted by "Blue Ridge Southern Potteries, Inc." They looked nice in her small kitchen with the green ivy wallpaper. My mother liked a pretty table way back then.

This is the only one I have today. It is a bit stained and has a chip in it, but it also holds special memories for me. It is the main reason that I chose "the cherry apron" for my giveaway gift(see previous post).
Please feel free to comment, if you did not.
Tonight we will draw a name from the old crock.
The comments I have received already, have been a real gift to me...thank you all so much!

I just did a post on my "new" china.
Love the cherries. It reminds me of Mary Engelbreit.

FYI: if you get a hankering for a few more place setting of the Cherry pattern, check ebay or replacements.com

It is surprising how much old china is out there.

What a pretty dish. Yes, cherries remind me of Mary Engelbreit too. I used to have a kitchen with a cheery cherry theme.

Pretty tables? Mmmmm - seems the cherry didn't fall far from the tree!!

I have my mother's china; a 12 place setting of Noritake that has tiny Lily of the Valley at it's center. I have used them often over the years, and every time I do I recall so many family meals in which they were used.

Your remembrances bless me.

OH the cherries. I have a few dishes that are loners but ever so special in that they belonged to my mom and grandma.

Judy I love the plate...a set would look so great in my dinning room:-) I love that it was your Mom's and I know you treasure it, as you my friend treasure family.

Some things just ring "Mom" or "Dad" when you see them don't they? A moment we feel the heart warm at just the thought of them.

Hugs!
