Thank You Betty Crocker

I think the Betty Crocker mix is new on the shelves, so I tried baking them for all of you. You see...I am trying to help each of you with your busy Christmas time schedules. These cookies, in my estimation are sooooo delicious(and I am not even a cookie fan). Now they do not match up to my neice's pumpkin cookies...they are best! But, these are worth the time...the little bit of time it takes to bake and decorate .
I used two bags of mix and two tubs of Pillsbury creamy cream cheese icing. It made quite a few cookies.
I used my beautiful flea market and antique mall plates for the gifting process.

I used a freezer zip lock bag, cut a tiny cut out of the tip of the bag, added a decorator metal tip and piped the creamy, cream cheese icing on each cooled cookie.
Because I think chopped walnuts go perfectly with pumpkin cookies, I added those and sprinkled red and green decorator sugar on each one.
I followed the simple instructions on the bag, adding the melted butter, eggs and water. I added a teaspoon of vanilla to the batter, even though it did not call for it in the instructions. I think vanilla makes every cookie better. I know there are hundreds of amazingly delicious cookies out there in blogland, but for me, at this time of my life, time is at a premium, so thank you Betty Crocker for helping me out. The cookies will go in the freezer until I need them, closer to the 25th of December.

I will have to find a bag at my store......this busy bee can will have to take some shortcuts this year I'm afraid. I had hoped to have my trees up by now, but that hasn't happened yet. I do, however have my Christmas Village set up! Love the gorgeous packages in your last post as well. Have lots of Christmas fun with those adorable little grandbabies. I'll be back soon!
Hugs,
Elizabeth

No harm using a prepared mix now and then Judy to save time. My daughter loves to use the "slice and bake" refrigerator brand.

Your icing looks so good!

YUM-OH Judy!!

Thanks for sharing this with us. I'll be sure to give them a whirl!

Now, I have to make a dessert this coming Sunday to feed 30 people. Our church is having a Christmas Dinner for all of our staff (which includes my hubby and I and our family) and our church elders...and those of us attending are helping bring the sides, rolls, and desserts. I signed up for desserts...so if you have any ideas..that are quick...easy, and have a BEAUTIFUL presentation...I'm ALL ears!
:-)

As usual, we can count on you to give a simple idea that special touch to make it perfect. Thanks for the reminder to freeze these and pull them out when needed. As the month goes by, I know I will appreciate having them on hand.

Oh friend, I just ate my way through Seattle for four days and now this! So much for my "eat less" resolve.

Do you suppose you could whip up one of your Martha-Stewart-like suggestions for water? It's about all I can ingest until 2011 (did I say I ate my way through Seattle?).

Blessings,
Kathleen
