Another year is coming to an end, and as for the future ahead it can sometimes
appear quite cloudy, just as the raindrops on my windshield added cloudiness to this beautiful sunset the other evening. I face this new year realizing in my heart that each moment of my life is a gift from God.

Jonathan Edwards(1703 - 1758) made five resolutions in his youth;

"1 ~ Live with all my might while I do live (he died at age 55)

2 ~ Never lose one moment of time, but improve it in the most profitable way possible.

3 ~ Never do anything I would despise or think meanly of in another.

4 ~ Never do anything out of revenge.

5 ~ Never do anything which I should be afraid to do if it were the last hour of my life."

As a new year dawns, I do want to take time to thank each one of you in this blogging world. I continue to learn so much from each one of you. You add inspiration, encouragement, kindness, and creativity to my life. I want to wish you and your family many moments of joy in this coming year.

Oh, love your perspective in this post. I was just thinking that my new year's resolution was just to work to be a little bit better each day than I was the day before, and not to feel overwhelmed by it, but challenged to honor God increasingly over the new year!
I think our hearts matched today! :)

I can hardly wait to see how you'll top 2009 in matters domestic, creative and nurturing. Something tells me we're all in for some huge blessings by way of your humble yet gifted hands.

Oh that more molds like yours were used when He crafted people.

Hugs & happy days,
Kathleen

Jonathan Edward's resolutions are ringing in my brain as ideals worth embracing. I could immediately think of a few situations that could have been avoided had I kept those ideals in mind.

Will be printing them out and tucking them into several places to keep them fresh in my mind during this year. Thanks for bringing them to light (computer screen light as well!)
