Indoors or Outdoors, the Fall is best.

If you would come to my front door this Fall, on the evenings where I do not have plans, the following few pictures would convey to you, a part of my personality that you may not be aware of. When it is a cold and rainy evening like this evening, you will find...

A fire in the fireplace, and a soft, comfy afghan on the sofa...

...along with candles lit. This is my kitchen table. The gold glass hurricane lamp is from JC Penneys. It is from the new "Cindy Crawford" line, and it was on sale a few weeks ago. The glass acorns that I dropped in around the clear oil burning candle, are from the Dollar Tree. The gold glass gives a soft glow to our kitchen eating area. Yes, the rose is from my garden. They continue to bloom in the middle of October.

A corn candy candle creation adds another soft glow.

But, if the sun is out and I am anywhere near a trail like this...I will be there. So,whether indoors with the fire in the fireplace and the candles burning...or outdoors enjoying the beauty of the leaves, and the smells of the season...this is by far, my favorite time of the year. My uncle captured this picture.

Hi Judy,
When I didn't see a new post from you this morning I thought maybe your new twins had made their appearance :-)
Your home would be such a warm and welcoming place to be anytime, but particularly on a cold and rainy evening (we are having that today too). Your wreath is a perfect match to the color of your front door. The candles are so pretty in the new hurricane lamp and the candy corn candle is adorable. The ribbon matches perfectly. I look forward to the sun's return so that I can hit the trail too. It is such a beautiful time of year to be out in nature. Lovely photo from your uncle.

I was thinking along the same lines as Kim...and expecting an announcement soon. But here you are...curled up in front of a cozy fire...with the warm glow of candles nearby. It looks like a most comfortable spot...to wait!

Lovely pic by 'uncle'. Have all those leaves fallen this year already...or is it a picture from yesteryear?

Aaah, Judy, how I would love to walk through those woods with you...they are so beautiful. Even though Spring is my favorite season, Autumn is a very close second.

Isn't it wonderful to find treasures at the Dollar Tree? Michael can't understand it, so maybe it is mostly a female thing.

Your candles are lovely and so creatively put together with other things...I love candles too.

blessings and hugs,

marcy

Oh Judy, it's gorgeous! You make me want to light a fire right now, but I think we need to get our chimney cleaned first, lol! Love the candle on top of the candy corn, to cute!

BTW, I am having a free blog makeover giveaway if you're interested!

Well, friend, you've done it again! Now I'm packing to head your way for a little warmth by that fire, hoping you'll whip up some of that Hot Chocolate you shared awhile back to go with it.

It's brrrrry cold here today: 30 degrees and windy. We soon head to London, and then tomorrow board our return flight for the U.S.

May today's blessings on you far exceed any of yesterday's.

Kathleen
