Relaxing On The Porch

It has been a fast paced, busy week for us. This evening we had many things to get done. As darkness set in, we spent time relaxing on our porch, in the candlelight. It is a perfect way to unwind.

With my flea market finds, candlelight adds ambience to the moment.

It seems that the older we get, the more we treasure these relaxing moments together. Reminds me of a quote I read yesterday about tiredness; "How far down do you want to sit?" asked the usher. "All the way, " answered the little old lady, "I 'm very tired." Wishing you a few relaxing moments this weekend, with those you love.

  1. Your screened in porch looks altogether enchanting right about now. We are in the middle of a great mosquito infestation that is very abnormal for our area. For two weeks they have been spraying almost every night. Something about the river levels going up and down.

I am relaxing tonight too, just inside with screening :)

  14. That does look peaceful and relaxing. You have a beautiful porch. I love all of the candles. We do the a similar thing in our swing. We take our lantern, music, and a glass of wine with us. Then we have a little fire. It's amazing how a little relaxation can make you feel so much better.
